Joe Berti, a software company chief executive and gym owner, witnessed both the Boston bombing and the fertilizer plant explosion last week in Texas.

He and his wife were just meters from the finish line in Boston Monday when the bombs - reportedly set by Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and his brother - went off.

After flying home to the Lone Star State, he was driving down I-35 when the West, Texas fertilizer plant explosion occurred, peppering his car with debris.

In both cases, Berti emerged unscathed, though surely shaken up a bit mentally.

Asked if he feels unlucky, having witnessed two deadly events like this in the span of a week, Berti said he feels blessed that he and his family are okay.

Asked if this was JUST TOO CONVENIENT, Reddit and 4Chan said they'd look into it.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

Zooey Deschanel.

While these two names might not sound similar to you, they were close enough to confuse one Fox affiliate Friday during the massive Boston manhunt.

Not long before authorities captured the Boston bombing suspect, he was erroneously listed by the closed captioning as the beautiful singer-actress.

A welcome moment of levity after what could only be described as a tough week, which ended after police remarkably took Tsarnaev alive last night.

Zooey Deschanel, meanwhile, is still at large.

Less than 10 miles from the finish line of the Boston Marathon, where three were killed and 176 injured Monday, lies a billboard with a one-word message:

Cowards Billboard

As the manhunt for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev continues, the region remains paralyzed with fear over what might still transpire and reeling from what already has.

The billboard seems to sum it up well.

Located off the I-93 expressway that crosses the city, it belongs to the local chapter of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) union.

Boston Suspects

Heavily-armed police are making their way through a 20-block area of Watertown, Mass., searching for the remaining Boston Marathon bombing suspect.

Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, is dead. His 19-year-old brother Dzhokhar (pictured) is on the run. Officials believe they know the second suspect’s location.

The city of Boston, as well as neighboring towns, are on lockdown after the suspects robbed a 7-Eleven, then shot and killed an MIT police officer.

The duo then hijacked a car at gunpoint, and engaged in a battle with police using gunfire and explosives. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev fled; his brother perished.

Armed with explosives and guns, the Boston Marathon bombing suspects battled law enforcement officers in a Boston suburb early Friday morning.

The two men unleashed chaos and killed an MIT campus officer before police took one of the men into custody and the other fled, officials said.

The suspect taken into custody later died. Officials identified the man on the run as the "white-hat" suspect, referring to the photos released by the FBI Thursday.

Authorities warned he should be considered armed and dangerous.

FBI Agent Richard DesLauriers said at a news conference that one these two suspects is believed to have planted the devices near the finish line of the race.

The FBI says both men are considered armed and extremely dangerous.

The explosions Monday killed three people and injured more than 180.

Moments after the FBI posted pictures of actual suspects - not the rumored Boston bombing suspects reported earlier today - the agency's website crashed.

Angie Miller grew up in Beverly, Massachuetts, just outside of Boston.

And the finalist took a few moments during last night's American Idol performance show to give a shout-out to her beleaguered native region, dedicating a cover of "I'll Stand By You" to the victims of Monday's Boston bombing.

Watch now:

"Praying for all of you in Boston right now, and to all the families of those who were injured," Angie Tweeted soon after the attack. "My heart is going out to my home."

And the same can certainly be said by everyone here at THG.
