Don't ever mistake Blake Lively for some no-talent skank.

Not that we are talking about any celeb gossip target in particular.

"I once heard someone say that I'm similar to Paris Hilton - just because I have a dog and blonde hair. What a dumb thing to say," Lively said.

"I dont think that makes Paris and me similar ... I don't go to clubs, I don't party, I don't dance on tables, and I don't like sex tapes."

Sorry, Ranae Shrider. You won't be getting any money from this star!

The star of Gossip Girl, Blake Lively appears in the new issue of Seventeen.

Unlike the troubled socialite she plays on TV, 20-year-old Lively's real life relationship with co-star Penn Badgley is remarkably scandal free.

"Penn does these silly dance moves, and he's very witty and quick, so it's fun to have sharp banter with him," she said.

"When I care about somebody, whether it's my best friend or somebody who I would date, I give them all of my heart," Blake Lively said. "I've just been so loved, and I'm used to really loving people and trusting them."

The pair were photographed at the DirecTV "Beach Bowl" game, a fun pigskin event that is part of this year's pre-Super Bowl festivities.

You can't help but assume that Matt Leinart - who's been linked to Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Kristin Cavallari, etc. - asked for Blake Lively's number.

Here are some of the interview excerpts from the 20-year-old Gossip Girl beauty, who talks about romance, family, TV and (of course) Britney ...

On her rumored romance with her Gossip Girl co-star (and on-screen boyfriend) Penn Badgley: "I try not to talk about my dating life like I want to, but once you start, I think it's all downhill from there."

On rumors of on-set strife: "There is always going to be drama on set, but it's just not true that Leighton Meester and I dislike each other."

On trying to be sexy during some of her Gossip Girl scenes: "In one scene, I totally fell off the barstool making out with Chace Crawford. I was trying to be sexy. So I think, ‘what would Britney Spears do?' So I whished around my hair."

NOTE: What would Britney do? No clue... but it sure wouldn't involve pants!

On what the limelight has done to Britney Spears: "I feel sad for Britney Spears. I want to see what everyone else would do in her situation, she so talented and misguided. She has lived her whole life in front of an audience."

There's seemingly more gossip off the set of Gossip Girl than on the set of this hit CW series.

Most of it centers around Blake Lively and Penn Badgley. Is this on-screen couple also dating away from the show?

"Everybody always tries to dig into your personal life or create things that aren't there.. It's silly," Lively told People last night, denying the romantic rumors. "Any male friend is obviously a 'romance alert' [for the media], but I've always been friends with boys my whole life. "

So, how does the beauty deal with tabloid reports?

"[I] just try not to listen to what people say," Blake said. "At least for me it's important â€" because I'm so close with my family and my friends â€" to keep core people around me that know the truth about everything."

As for co-star Chace Crawford? He's definitely doing American Idol winner Carrie Underwood.
