Happy Birthday, Bill Clinton!

The 42nd President of the United States of America, William Jefferson Clinton, celebrates his 62nd birthday today. Happy birthday, Bubba!

Bill Clinton is best known as the only Democrat to win two White House terms since FDR, for presiding over the largest peacetime economic expansion in U.S. history, and for a certain incident involving a cigar and an unattractive intern.

Will he be back in the White House in some capacity? It doesn't appear as though Barack Obama will ask Hillary Clinton to run for Vice President with him, but you never know. Anyway, here's a little birthday photo tribute to Bill ...

Bill Clinton, Cindy McCain Bogart More Recipes

Republican presidential nominee John McCain's wife, Cindy McCain, has once again cooked up some controversy by shoplifting a recipe. And this time, former president Bill Clinton was also busted for the same thing!

Cindy McCain and Bill Clinton, along with Michelle Obama, the wife of Sen. Barack Obama (who was endorsed by Al Gore last night) submitted their cookie recipes for the 5th Presidential Bake-Off in Family Circle.

The problem? Bill Clinton and Cindy McCain swiped theirs.

The July issue features a recipe for "Cindy McCain's Oatmeal-Butterscotch Cookies" - "an absolute must whenever the whole family gets together," Cindy McCain raves to Family Circle - only they're from Hershey.

As for Bill Clinton, he attributes his oatmeal cookie recipe to a longtime family cook... when it's really by a cook named Betty Crocker.

Bill Clinton is Perplexed

"I did not have relations with that recipe."

Earlier this year, a John McCain intern lifted some of Rachael Ray's recipes, posting them as "Cindy's Recipes" on her husband's campaign site.

The intern was thrown under the bus and fired.

There's clearly a pattern emerging for Cindy, and when it comes to Bill Clinton, everything he does comes back to haunt him. Like Gina Gershon.

And to think, people say Michelle Obama is not American enough. At least she can come up with her own recipe ... or not get caught.

Face-Off: Did Bill Clinton Shag Gina Gershon?

A new article in Vanity Fair says Bill Clinton has "visited" with Gina Gershon (among other women) since leaving the White House. But did Bubba actually close the deal with the actress? That's the subject of today's Face-Off ...

DID BILL CLINTON SLEEP WITH GINA GERSHON?

YES by mischalova

On one side of this issue, we have Bill Clinton. He's known for two things:

  1. Presiding over a peaceful nation during an era of economic prosperity;
  2. Sleeping with lots and lots of women.

If the former President was willing to have an affair while in office, are we really to believe he's kept his pants zipped while traveling the world for a decade?

Heck, Hillary probably gave him Gina Gershon's phone number, just to get him off... the campaign trail.

As for Gershon, her film resume isn't exactly taking off these days. (No offense to fans of P.S. I Love You).

As celebrities from Kim Kardashian to Lindsay Lohan have proven, publicizing your sex life can only result in a career boost.

Combine Bubba's liberal libido with Gina Gershon's hunger for fame and you get a fling made in celebrity gossip heaven.

Gina Gershon Denies Letting Bill Clinton Hit That

As we reported yesterday, Vanity Fair published an article insinuating that Gina Gershon (among many others) may have had an affair with Bill Clinton.

Vanity Fair's scandalous, 10,000-word story about the post-White House years of Bill Clinton sparked outrage from his camp - and from Gershon's.

A demand letter from her attorneys demands a retraction, claiming that the article "outrageously insinuates Ms. Gershon has had an inappropriate sexual relationship with President Clinton. This is absolutely false."

Bill ApprovesGershon, Gina

Whether or not the former United States President slept with Gina Gershon is questionable. But c'mon, Bill Clinton would definitely approve of that booty.

Gershon's lawyers from the bulldog firm Lavely & Singer noted in a statement that "Gina Gershon has only been in the same room as Bill Clinton on three occasions," each time with many other individuals present.

THG NOTE: And that would stop the Big Dog how?

The lawyers proceeded to take a shot at Vanity Fair, claiming, "Rumor-mongering was substituted for fact-checking." As for Hillary Clinton's fear-mongering in the 2008 Democratic race, the law firm had no comment.

Vanity Fair Article Ties Bill Clinton to Gina Gershon, Belinda Stronach, Numerous Other Women

Former President Bill Clinton is known for presiding over the greatest peacetime economic expansion in U.S. history. And his loose morals.

Seriously, the man spends more time inside women than Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt spend in the pages of celebrity gossip tabloids.

Even as his wife, Hillary Clinton, seeks the White House, the Big Dog has apparently been up to his old tricks in the past few years.

A new report in Vanity Fair unleashes a laundry list of recent Bill Clinton antics - and surprise surprise, his questionable relationships with women (including Gina Gershon) are at the forefront. Here are just a few excerpts:

"Over the last few years, aides have winced at repeated tabloid reports about Clinton's episodic friendship and occasional dinners out with Belinda Stronach, a twice-divorced billionaire auto-parts heiress and member of the Canadian Parliament 20 years his junior, or at more recent high-end Hollywood dinner-party gossip that Clinton has been seen visiting with the actress Gina Gershon in California."

Two of Bill Clinton's possible playthings: Belinda Stronach (left) and Gina Gershon. There's also a "friend" who he sees in Chappaqua, N.Y., apparently.

"There has been talk of a female friend in Chappaqua, a woman in a bar at a meeting of the Aspen Institute, and a public sighting of Clinton ... and a ravishing entourage in a New York elevator that, a former Clinton aide told me, led a business leader who saw them to say: I don't know what the guy was doing, but it was so clear that it was just no good."

The article on Bill Clinton's indiscretions and questionable conduct goes on for eight lengthy pages. Follow this link to read it here.

Michelle Obama, Bill Clinton Make Their Case

Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have the support of their spouses. That is obvious to anyone who knows about them. But what's less expected are their first-person pieces arguing for the candidates they know best in the latest issue of Us Weekly.

"I tell people I am married to the answer," Michelle Obama, 44, wrote to the celebrity news magazine. "If I weren't married to him, I'd still want a Barack Obama presidency right now â€" not in four or eight years, but now."

Bill Clinton, Michelle Obama

As the spousal counterpart of Michelle Obama, Bill Clinton wrote his own column.

"I'm really proud of Hillary's campaign - the big goals she's setting for America and the plans she has to achieve them. For most of her adult life, Hillary Clinton was a public servant without a public office," the former President of the U.S. said.

The full columns? We'll have to wait for those.

We enjoy both Bill Clinton and Michelle Obama and think it's very cool they did this. We also like Cindy McCain, who was for some reason not profiled by the publication for this feature. Oh well, maybe next time, Cindy.

Bennifer Backs Barack; Brad & Bill Rebuild New Orleans

It's always great to report about celebrities giving back to the community and few, if any, are a better example of that than Brangelina.

Former President Bill Clinton, too, is no slouch in that department. Bill hosted his Clinton Global Initiative University, while Pitt, the founder of the Make It Right Foundation, posed with supporters and promoted an all-important cause.

The political and Hollywood stars greeted volunteers and broke ground for new homes in the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans, Louisiana, on Sunday.

Brad Pitt and Bill Clinton walked along the street as hundreds of volunteers on each side, wielding shovels and rakes, prepared the land for homes, clearing overgrown grass and weeds that were covering drains and sidewalks.

The foundation headed by Pitt plans to begin building affordable homes for Hurricane Katrina victims, and the 9th Ward was one of the hardest hit.

"We hope to see a huge change here in the next six months," Pitt told a group of residents as the 42nd President stood by his side.

While Brangelina continued rebuilding New Orleans, Bennifer (Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner) had politics on the mind, hosting a fundraiser for Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama on Sunday in Boston, Mass.

Wearing a gray suit and black Converse All Star sneakers, Ben Affleck said he and his wife were just doing "their part for society."

Calling the Illinois senator a "genuine, real force" he said "there are a lot of things" he loves about Barack Obama, "but I won't bore you with all of them. I'm an actor. I'm not going to create 10-point policy details."

Affleck has been a Barack Obama supporter since he first met him at the 2004 Democratic convention in Boston, according to the Boston Herald.

Their relationship hasn't gotten too close for comfort.

"I'm just grateful he didn't ask me to do a sexy YouTube video with him," Affleck said, referring to his raunchy music video with Jimmy Kimmel.

Bill Clinton Has a Dream on MLK Day

As Hillary Rodham Clinton dreams of occupying the Oval Office, her husband and our former president, Bill Clinton, was having dreams of his own yesterday.

Quite literally.

Yesterday, on Martin Luther King, Jr., Day, cameras caught Bill Clinton nodding off during a church service honoring the slain civil rights leader...

Having served eight years in the world's most powerful job, and with the rigorous campaigning he's been doing on behalf of Hillary Clinton, you can't blame the former chief exec for being tired. And who hasn't nodded off in church?

Still, come on. Get it together, Bubba.
