We expect fake breasts from The Real Housewives of New York City.

But fake fiances?!?

According to a source close to Bethenny Frankel, the reality TV star isn't actually engaged to Jason Hoppy. Simply put:

"The engagement is fake," an insider told Fox News, implying that Frankel's rep started this rumor in order to generate buzz for his client's reality show.

But that development is also in question, as Bethenny is on the verge of getting sued.

Life has not been a beach for Bethenny Frankel this week.

Reportedly, Frankel was set to anchor a series titled The Skinny and the City. However, Tanya Zuckerbrot, - a registered dietitian and author of The F Factor Diet -  runs the weight loss website www.skinnyandthecity.com. She takes issue with Frankel's use of her trademarked name.

“I have always felt imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. That being said, we are taking the protection of our brand and trademark extremely seriously,” Zuckerbrot said.

Wow. Who would have thought that Frankel lacked any original ideas and unique talents? Oh. Right. Everybody.

Everyone will soon see Bethenny Frankel nude in an ad for PETA.

But this actually won't be the last chance fans have to get intimate with the reality TV star.

According to the New York Post, Frankel has left The Real Housewives of New York City in favor of greener (as in, the color of money) pastures: she's landed her very own series!

The program will air on Bravo this fall and, similar to Kendra on E!, "will follow her planning her wedding to [fiancé] Jason Hoppy," said a source.

This must-see show's title? Skinny & The City.

Based on the photos of Frankel above, the name seems apt. Seriously, eat a cheeseburger, Bethenny. Heck, eat two!

The Real Housewives of New York City is coming back for a third season of mischief and cat fighting on Bravo.

But will the cast remain intact?

Last season's new troublemaker, Kelly Bensimon, was the first to sign up for another go-around on the reality show, as sources told E! News" "She is considered the most hated woman in New York and will do anything to reverse that opinion."

Somewhere, Ruth Madoff can't believe she was overlooked for that honor.

The Real Annoying, Spoiled, Self-Serving Housewives of New York City are coming back to Bravo in early 2010.

Then there's the newly-engaged Bethenny Frankel, whose rep has also confirmed her return to the series that made her famous:

"Bethenny Frankel loves being part of the Bravo family, and if invited back, she will 100 percent RSVP for the Real Housewives party."

But the same can't be said for Jill Zarin and Ramona Singer. These two are reportedly holding out for a raise, as insiders say they see themselves as the actual stars of the show.

"Bravo put out that press release saying they're casting for new housewives because Jill and Ramona are playing hardball," said a source.

It looks like Bethenny Frankel will finally become a real housewife.

The reality TV star, who stands out among the cast of Bravo's The Real Housewives of New York City, is planning to get married to her boyfriend of eight months, Jason Hoppy.

After she was was spotted wearing a diamond ring in Miami on July 4, her rep contacted Us Weekly and confirmed that is client is engaged.

"I can confirm Bethenny and Jason are in love and plan on getting married," the rep said. "So I guess this is the starter ring."

Not exactly the sort of attention-grabbing engagement announcement we'd expect from Frankel, but we guess we're happy for her and Hoppy.

While Frankel has talked openly about her struggle to find love in the past, she hasn't been able to keep quiet about her feelings for Hoppy.

"I'm in love," Frankel said earlier this year. "I'm pretty much certain I'm going to spend the rest of my life with him... I'm really happy."

But will Hoppy be happy with the fact that his fiancee will soon be nude for all to see, as part of a PETA campaign? He hasn't commented on it yet.

“I’m in love,” Frankel told People at an event in East Hampton Saturday. “I’m pretty certain I’m going to spend the rest of my life with him. I’m really happy.”

Frankel’s friends support the hot new match.

“He’s extremely handsome,” one of her pals said. “He’s supportive, funny, thoughtful, kind. He wants kids. They’re both the same age. This could be it.”

While Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy have been dating for eight months, she uncharacteristically kept their relationship under the radar for a while.

“I didn’t want to bring anyone into the fray unless I knew it was the real deal,” said Frankel, who met Hoppy at New York City’s hot spot Tenjune.

“I was getting my picture taken and I had a scowl on my face. He came up and said, ‘Are you going to get that stick out of your a$$?’” Frankel recalls.

Sparks flew right away, according to Frankel, and viewers will likely get to see the couple on future episodes of The Real Housewives of New York City.

“He’ll be on the show. He’s totally cool about it, but not gung ho. He’s not Speidi,” Frankel said. “He’s excited for me and everything happening for me.”

If she models outfits like this for him, we can see why.

Soon enough, the world will see Bethenny Frankel nude in an ad for PETA.

But The Real Housewives of New York City star couldn't wait that long to give fans a sneak preview.

At a celebration for the Apollo Theater earlier this week, Frankel showed disdain for a bra, while also showing the world her giant breasts via a see-through jumpsuit. We're just glad she was wearing underwear...

Once again, PETA is prepared to spend millions on an attention-seeking set of photos that will make headlines, not save lives.

The organization has tapped Bethenny Frankel as the next quasi celebrity star in its "I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" ad campaign.

The Real Housewives of New York star told E! New she has no qualms about wearing her birthday suit in public.

"I'm unexpectedly not that concerned with body image," the reality TV star said. "Take me as I am."

We'd rather not.

After all, the previous campaigns that followed this motif - starring such luminaries as Khloe Kardashian, Audrina Patridge and Holly Madison - may have earned a few days of publicity for PETA, but did anyone stop wearing fur just because these talentless celebs got naked and told them to?

Perhaps PETA should spend its money on actually rescuing abused animals. That's a crazy idea, as we know.

As for her nude photo shoot, Frankel said she won't be doing anything special to get in shape for it.

"Obsessive dieting and working out is not a part of my life," she said. "I do yoga once or twice a week... I'm 38 years old, and this is what I look like."
