The 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards aired Tuesday night after being handed out a week and a half ago. Notably absent from the much-anticipated telecast:
BET Awards Brawl or not, it was a fun event hosted by comedian Mike Epps and featuring performances by some of the biggest names in the genre.

A video has surfaced showing the fight between Gunplay and 50 Cent's crew at the BET Hip-Hop Awards the other night, and you can watch it from two angles below.
NOTE: There is explicit language, plus Gunplay's head hitting a barricade.
The clip shows the second BET Awards brawl (the first belonging to Young Jeezy and Rick Ross) begin out of nowhere, with Gunplay on the business end.
Two separate brawls at 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards have dominated news for the past two days, with rumors, controversy, fists and possibly even bullets flying.
Here's a rundown of what went down, and what's unproven:
1. The fight between Rick Ross and Young Jeezy did take place, with pushing and shoving backstage.
2. The incident with Gunplay and 50 Cent involved 50's entourage, not 50. There was pepper spray involved, with the former allegedly taken down "by a cop."
Lost amidst the showdown between Rick Ross and Young Jeezy at Saturday night's BET Awards? A similar altercation between 50 Cent and some rapper named Gunplay.
And it sure sounds like it was serious!
Gunplay tells TMZ that he wants to "kill" Fiddy and the whole G-Unit crew. For reals, yo!
Rick Ross and Young Jeezy were involved in an altercation on Saturday night - and we have the videotape to prove it!
As previously reported, the musicians argued backstage at the BET Awards in Atlanta, with conflicting reports regarding whether or not shots were later fired between entourages.

Rick Ross and Young Jeezy got seriously into it at the BET Hip Hop Awards last night, with sources even telling TMZ shots were fired between the parties in the parking lot after the ceremony.
Here is what reportedly went down:
The rappers verbally and then physically assaulted each other backstage, forcing BET security and bodyguards for both to step in and separate the rivals.
Boy band Mindless Behavior flat out dissed Lauryn Hill on live TV last night, and the joke apparently upset Beyonce, one of the 2012 BET Award winners, to the point where she changed her acceptance speech to honor The Fugees singer.
The diss went down womedian Mike Epps and the guys from Mindless Behavior were all getting set to co-present the award for Best R&B Artist.
Mike, who can't carry a tune to save his life, jokingly tried to sing. One of the dudes said, "You sing BAD ... like Lauryn Hill's tax accountant bad."
The zinger, a reference to Lauryn Hill's felony tax evasion case, elicited gasps from the crowd, including Beyonce, who was far from pleased.
Winning the award moments later, Bey said, "I want to thank all the talented R&B women that came before me like Lauryn Hill and Mary J. Blige."
As she walked off stage, she could be heard venting about the insult, saying the dude's Lauryn Hill joke was "disrespectful" and "not cool."
When a BET handler complimented Beyonce's shout-out to the maligned Hill, the "Halo" singer replied, "I just felt [the diss] was wrong."

Following Sunday night's BET Awards, rumors were running rampant that Chris Brown was arrested backstage for illegally possessing a firearm.
Speculation surfaced that the R&B star was going to great lengths to protecting himself against possible retaliation from Drake and Meek Mill.
In the wake of the Chris Brown-Drake fight last month, and given that we're dealing with Chris Brown in general, it didn't seem far fetched.
But it's not true.
Brown, who was among the BET Awards winners last night, was out and about celebrating last night, completely arrest- and controversy-free.
A rep for the singer also confirms there was no altercation of any kind Sunday.
Incidentally, Drake wasn't at the show, and Meek Mill, who was also involved in the NYC nightclub brawl, was not at the BET after party with Chris.
Consider the rumor debunked, and chalk it up to the crazy Twitterverse.
In other, less controversial Brown news, he Tweeted condolences to his ex this weekend after Rihanna's grandmother died. That was nice of him.
Beyonce came, saw and conquered the 12th annual BET Awards.
She "only" one won award, but by flashing that big smile every time cameras cut to her (approximately every 10 seconds), she was the star of the evening.
Her man, Jay-Z, took home a pair of awards (Best Group and Best Video), so it was a successful night for the parents of Blue Ivy Carter all around.
With Samuel L. Jackson handling hosting, and stars such as Bey, Jay, Chris Brown Kanye West and Nicki Minaj on hand, there was mega-star wattage.
Minaj's performance and the lack of censorship are sure to cause some people headaches today, while lighter and heavier moments were abundant.
Jokes were made about Lauryn Hill's tax problems and Kanye's cutting off Taylor Swift at the MTV VMAs. His GF Kim Kardashian was present as well.
Finally, a moving Whitney Houston tribute by Mariah Carey, Monica, Brandy and the late star's mom Cissy Houston left nary a dry eye in the venue.

Nominees for the 2012 BET Awards nominees were announced Tuesday, with Kanye West leading the pack, scoring a whopping seven nominations.
West earned not one but two Video of the Year nods for hits "N!ggas in Paris" and "Otis" ... Kim Kardashian must be so proud of her fake boyfriend.
Beyonce came in a close second with six nods, including Best Female R&B Artist alongside Mary J. Blige and Rihanna. Jay-Z got five nominations.
The video nominees are Beyonce for "Countdown," Bey again for "Love on Top, "Jay-Z and Kanye for "N!ggas in Paris," Jay and Kanye again for "Otis," and Usher for "Climax."
Do you realize what this means?
Kanye will likely interrupt Beyonce, or himself, to proclaim that Beyonce had one (or two) of the best videos of all time. It'll be awesome and awkward.
Other artists up for BET Awards in various categories include stars Drake, Lil Wayne, J. Cole, Big Sean, A$AP Rocky, Rick Ross and Young Jeezy.
Nicki Minaj is set to perform on the show hosted by Samuel L. Jackson July 1.
