Meet “normal” Barbie!

Using a 3-D computer model, an artist created photos of the classic Mattel doll using the proportions of the average 19-year-old American woman.

Here's what a "real" Barbie would look like:

Artist Nickolay Lamm of MyDeals (dot) com created the rendering of Barbie as your average girl, not the tall, impossibly skinny version sold for decades.

Demi Lovato praised the "new" Barbie on Twitter, and based on the reaction these drawings have received on the web, she likely won't be the last to.

Dove has released a new viral ad campaign entitled "Camera Shy," a follow-up to the brand's successful and similar "Real Beauty Sketches."

The common theme: Women tend to be uncomfortable about their appearances.

While the tone of the Dove spot, like the previous one, is relatively light, it makes a fairly heavy point when it comes to camera-shyness:

"When did you stop thinking you were beautiful?"

Yes, Burger King now offers a hands-free Whopper holder.

But a fast food chain in Brazil tried to make an actual difference in people's lives this March.

In honor of International Women's Day, the restaurant Spoleto handed out mirrors to female customers and told them their order would be comped as long as they could say with confidence: I'm beautiful.

Pretty cool, right? A video documenting the day just went online. Check it out now:

This experiment is part of a new trend of businesses engaging with female empowerment as a type of advertising.

Last month, for example, Dove released a "Real Beauty" campaign that asked women to describe themselves to a sketch artist. It became a viral sensation.

Jennifer Lawrence's first red carpet appearance in months caused fans to do a double-take, and not just because she flubbed Bill Clinton's name on stage.

Check out her new, shorter hairstyle!

Looking gorgeous as ever, the 22-year-old attended the GLAAD Media Awards in L.A. Saturday, sporting a side-swept, almost shaggy fringe look.

In addition to the change in length, the honey-colored highlights and wavy layering lend a slightly unkempt feel that fits a low-maintenance gal like Jen.

Even at an A-list event, it seems to work ... right?

Do women see themselves less accurately than total strangers do?

Dove's new "Real Beauty" ad campaign says yes, and proves it.

The brand recruited seven women of different ages/backgrounds and had FBI-trained forensic artist Gil Zamora draw composite sketches of them.

Zamora did this based on their descriptions of their own features. Then strangers were told to describe the same women, and he sketched again.

Check it out how much the results differed:

The women frequently used phrases like "my mom told me I had a big jaw," "I kind of have a fat, rounder face," "I'd say I have a pretty big forehead."

Even when this was not necessarily the case.

Brandi Glanville has shocked her fans - and that's pretty hard to do, knowing her - with a close-up photo revealing her scorched face. What's the deal?

Brandi Glanville Face

The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star posted the image Wednesday, explaining that she underwent laser treatment to treat Melasma, a skin discoloration.

Brandi Glanville is seen with severe burns covering her entire face.

The reality star and mother of two explained that she opted for the procedure to treat the condition, but did not realize how harsh it would be on her skin.

Barbie is the ultimate doll, so it makes sense that she's dolled up.

Hot. Always. No matter what she's doing or wearing, the girl is a looker ... but have you ever wondered what she looks like with no makeup?

Artist Eddi Aguirre Cendejaz attempted to envision it, and wow:

  • Barbie Without Makeup
  • Barbie Photo

Sans blush, lipstick, mascara and fake eyelashes, Barbie without makeup has never before been seen ... except maybe by Ken first thing in the morning.

Assuming she sleeps over. We don't know what their deal is.

Our primary point: In an era where going au naturale is all the rage, should Mattel start selling Barbie dolls without makeup? Would she be as popular?

We vote yes. Any pic of Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga or Demi Lovato without makeup instantly gets tens of thousands of Likes on Facebook. Just saying.

Pippa Middleton stepped out with no makeup this week, surprising onlookers.

The typically glamorous 29-year-old sister of Kate Middleton met their mother, Carole, for lunch in London, sporting a look we're not used to seeing from her.

With no eyeliner or bronzer in sight, Pip channeled her inner fresh-faced Neutrogena girl, if only for one day. Take a look at the Pippa Middleton photos below:

Always interesting to see celebrities step out au naturale in this day and age, when photoshop, airbrushing and heavy makeup are the name of the game.

Kate Upton rules. She's as candid as she is gorgeous.

Exercising is not fun. Food is great. Other models can be catty sometimes. Modeling is great work if you can get it, but still a challenge if it's 30-below.

You can count on Kate's honest assessment of things is the point. So what did she say when asked in a recent interview what her favorite body part is?

Kate Upton Sexy Picture

"I think it's... my eyes," she said. "Because when I'm shooting, I change my expression all the time. It's like..." [starts making eyes, giggling] "It's like Tourette's!"

Lies. Modest and endearingly delivered ones, but lies.

Kate Upton does have some nice eyes (they're blue/green, we think), but that's probably not the feature most guys would associate with the 20-year-old.
