Sam Lutfi: Britney Spears in "Some Kind of Treatment"

Will we see Britney Spears nude in Blender? The jury is still out.

Is she finally seeking help for myriad mental problems? We'll have to see on that, as well, but her seedy friend seems to think so.

In a phone call to Barbara Walters (really, we're serious), Britney Spears' pal and shady character extraordinaire Sam Lutfi revealed that the troubled pop singer "is starting some kind of treatment" for "mental issues."

"There is a man named Sam Lutfi, who is the manager and very good friend of Britney," Walters said. "He has been staying with her constantly.

THG NOTE: Why on Earth is Barbara Walters talking to Sam Lutfi? She used to be an actual journalist, right? Okay, we now return to Walters' quote ...

"[Sam Lutfi] got in touch with us... I can't vouch for this... He seemed to be very knowledgeable and he certainly was very nice. He said Britney was suffering from what he describes as mental issues which are treatable.

Lutfi, OsamaSpears Getting Help?Babwa

For whatever reason, Sam Lutfi talked to Barbara Walters today and said that Britney Spears is seeking treatment for her worsening mental problems.

Walters continued: "He said she has been to a psychiatrist and ... I assume she is starting some kind of treatment. [Britney Spears] has been having severe mood swings. She has been having some kind of trouble sleeping."

Walters said Sam Lutfi also claims Spears â€" who hasn't seen her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James in three weeks since she lost visitation rights â€" "is in touch with her mother â€" because we had heard that she wasn't â€" and her mother [Lynne Spears, who arrived in L.A. Sunday] has been very supportive."

Nancy Shevell is the Cousin of Barbara Walters

Nancy Shevell PhotoBarbara Walters managed to divert attention away from Elisabeth Hasselbeck's new baby on The View this morning.

The den mother on the talk show posted a large photo of Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell on the screen and then made the following statement:

"See, that lovely, young, conservative, attractive-looking woman with Paul McCartney? Well, I love her very much. She's my cousin."

As reported by People, Walters added that she thinks the romance between the pair is "very nice."

From there, the host provided more details about Shevell:

"She's my second cousin. Her mother, who died, was my first cousin. And I have been very close to this young woman. ... She's separated from her husband, who's a nice man. The marriage wasn't going well, and they're separated."

In closing, Babs shot down rumors that stated Shevell knew Linda McCartney and Heather Mills. She also said she was the great aunt of Chelsy Davy.

Just kidding.

Barbara Walters Talks About Sex, Rosie O'Donnell

This could be grosser than any image of Britney Spears being plowed wheelbarrow style.

Aging host of The View Barbara Walters commented this week on the topics her and her castmates can discuss now that Rosie O'Donnell is off the program.

Barbara Walters Pic She said that "it's very hard for anyone to follow Rosie," but at least the panel can now talk about issues such as "heterosexual sex."

Which, apparently, they couldn't do before simply because Rosie would be more attracted to Paris Hilton's pussy than David Beckham's penis.

"The Hot Topics have been fun," Walters told KISS-FM's Ryan Seacrest on Wednesday, referring to the segment in which the all-female panel dishes about various subjects.

"There are some things that we were able to discuss that we weren't able to discuss with Rosie, like heterosexual sex. Because, you know, Rosie's lifestyle is different, being an open lesbian."

So if O'Donnell were straight, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and company would be throwing out blow job references left and right?

During Wednesday's radio interview, Walters praised O'Donnell as "a great talent," saying she "brought a lot of excitement and, of course, controversy to the show." She also said ratings have remained steady since her departure.

Walters, an executive producer of the program, said, "We are taking our time a little bit" in picking new co-hosts. There are currently two empty seats at the table, as a permanent replacement for co-host Star Jones Reynolds was never selected after she left last year.

Comedian Whoopi Goldberg is a front-runner for one of them.

Of course, if heterosexual, oral sex is really on the agenda, we have another suggestion: Antonella Barba needs a job these days.

Rosie O'Donnell, Barbara Walters Exchange World's Most Awkward High-Five

Up Top, Bitch!Somebody, make them stop.

At least Donald Trump had the courtesy to quietly write a letter in his never-ending feud with Rosie O'Donnell.

But The View co-host and her elder cohort, Barbara Walters, rattled on about The Donald this morning, concluding with the most awkward high-five since Rocky Balboa and Apollo Creed in Rocky III.

We don't have the energy to talk about it anymore. Read the transcript for yourself:

Rosie O'Donnell: Well -- he's at it again. [laughter] How about that Barbara? You OK?

Barbara Walters: I'm OK, darling. You OK?

Rosie: I'm OK, too. We both OK? What can you say about that guy?

Walters: That poor, pathetic man.

Rosie: Yes! [cheers and applause] Sister-friend, give me a high-five!

Maybe, just maybe, this is the end. The Hollywood Gossip would like to go back to writing about topics that really matter.

Like whether or not Isaac Cohen has more staying power than J.R Rotem.

Rosie vs. Donald: The Video Game

Some feuds are too big for the confines of television. As the last couple weeks have proven, the Rosie O'Donnell and Donald Trump showdown certainly fits such a grand bill.

So what was GSN.com to do but together a video game of this pugilistic pair? You can sign online take control of either side, replete with your very own cheerleader.

In Rosie's corner is the veteran talk show host, Barbara Walters.

Supporting The Donald? Miss USA Tara Conner, of course.

Each character has his/her own special moves and catchphrases, too. Rosie will yell, "How do you like The View from down there?" as she slaps you upside the head with her tongue. Trump says things like "You mental midget!" as he whips his hair for maximum damage.

Fight! Fight! Fight!

This is all well and good - but The Hollywood Gossip wants to see a virtual battle between the Olsen Twins. Let's just get it over with, shall we?

Barbara Walters: Rosie O'Donnell is my Girl

Babs SpeaksBarbara Walters had enough this morning.

In the wake of the Rosie O'Donnell and Donald Trump pre-Christmas war of words, The View host finally stepped up and let it be known that she supports her outspoken co-star.

"Rosie's on a long, planned vacation with Kelli (Carpenter, her wife) and the kids, and not, I can promise you, with Donald Trump," Walters said on the program.

Walters also went on to say directly into the TV camera:

"But while I am clearing things up, Donald Trump also said that I am not happy with my decision to bring Rosie O'Donnell to this table. Nothing could be further from the truth. I have never regretted, nor do I now, the hiring of Rosie O'Donnell."

While Asians - including Suri Cruise, we presume - might not agree with Walters, the audience cheered in response.

Walters then lauded O'Donnell, pointing to the show's improved ratings since her debut. And that much is true at least. Rosie has garnered the sort of attention for the show typically reserved for a drunk Britney Spears on New Year's Eve.
