What makes the chemistry between Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy so amazing in the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man 2? That'd be the off-screen chemistry between real-life couple Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield.

During an interview with Good Morning America, Emma Stone couldn't help but gush about boyfriend Andrew Garfield, appearing sort of lost in happy thoughts while she found the best words to describe him.

"He's obviously one of the greatest actors, I think, we have alive today," Stone said. "He's also just a remarkable human being."

"I love him very much."

While the 2014 Academy Awards spent several minutes honoring movie heroes, one real-life hero didn't get a chance to join them: 5-year-old "Batkid" Miles Scott.

Scott, who is in remission from leukemia, made headlines last year when the city of San Francisco shut down to honor him and his "Batkid" costume.

So what went wrong? A spokesperson blamed scheduling conflicts: "Basically, because of the fluid nature of live TV production, ultimately the segment didn't work."

Garfield, who was listed as one of the Oscars' presenters, rehearsed with Scott the Saturday before the Academy Awards; he also did not appear Sunday.

We knew Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man would be taking on Jamie Foxx's Electro and Paul Giamatti's Rhino, but the trailer has made a new revelation.

Dane DeHaan’s Harry Osborn provides another adversary for our hero as a Green Goblin of some kind. What other surprises lie in store for Peter Parker?

Watch The Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer below and see for yourself!

Clearly, the great power and responsibility of being Spider-Man is starting to weigh on Peter, who notes, “The more people I try to save, the more enemies I get.”

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits theaters nationwide May 2, 2014. It also stars Emma Stone as Gwen Stacey and Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn.

Amazing Spider-Man 2 is picking up steam with an EW cover featuring Spidey and Jamie Foxx as Electro, and now star Andrew Garfield is asking everyone who'll listen, "Why can't he be gay?"

If you're going by the books, well, MJ is a woman. However, there's nothing saying they have to stick to the books.

There's been plenty of instances in superhero movies that the storylines don't even come close to what is/was found in the comics. So that's not really a valid argument.

Garfield goes a little bit further by saying he would like the male version of Mary Jane to be played by Michael B. Jordan.
