Kate Hudson has men figured out.

"I sometimes feel like when you're talking to boys, they just hear certain keywords," she tells Elle UK. "But if you had a thought bubble above their head, they would be thinking about game scores, masturbation and food."

Well, that about sums it up.

In case you forgot, Kate Hudson is actually an actress who makes and promotes movies, not a full-time cheerleader for Alex Rodriguez and the New York Yankees.

She was ostensibly doing PR for her upcoming movie Nine, although her interview focused largely on her opinions on men, relationships, sex and the like.

Here's another choice quote:

"I love boys... but I believe they're all really simple. Every guy likes to say that they are complicated, but they're so easy to figure out. What did that Dr. Laura say? Something like, 'All men want is sex and for you to make them a sandwich.'"

"I thought that was really funny, and not entirely untrue."

So basically, she has a lot of sex with Alex Rodriguez, and also makes him lunch afterward. No wonder the guy is one game away from winning the World Series.

Somehow, Kate's comments seem a little off-putting, since unlike, say, Megan Fox or Kim Kardashian, she is 30, divorced and mother to a five-year-old, Ryder.

Then again, what do you expect from someone who becomes instantly enamored with an egomaniac who has portraits of himself as a centaur above his bed?

Here's hoping for an A-Rod and Kate Hudson engagement announcement prior to Game Six of the Fall Classic tomorrow, followed by more sex-oriented banter.

Alex Rodriguez is batting .438 with six home runs and 12 RBIs so far this postseason. Amazingly, he may be performing even better off the baseball field!

That's what girlfriend Kate Hudson has been telling pals.

"They love sex!" a friend of the couple dished recently. "They talk about it all day long. Kate gets graphic talking about his body, even to her parents."

Seriously? Is this for real? She probably talks about "PEDs" and the aging Goldie Hawn mishears it for something. Eh, eh? Hello? Is this thing on? No?

K-Hud apparently hasn't been deterred by the fact that A-Rod just divorced Cynthia Rodriguez following an affair with Joslyn Noel Morse (and others).

Another fling recalls portraits of the New York Yankees slugger as a centaur hanging over his bed. We can't decide if that's creepy, funny or just weird.

Ever since Kate Hudson became a Yankee Stadium staple, the team has dominated. Sure, their payroll is like a billion dollars, but a pretty good luck charm never hurt.

In any case, Rodriguez has supposedly confided to Kate that she means more to him than Madonna, who he famously had an "affair of the heart with" last year, or even Cynthia, and that Kate is "changing him for the better."

How so?

"He's less of a jerk," jokes a pal. "He's also more free-spirited." How special.

In any case, Kate's does not seem worried, nor does she have any reason to be. That's because "she's with him every second," according to a source.

Whatever leash he's on, Yankee fans hope she keeps riding his ass one more week. The World Series begins tonight in New York, weather permitting.

Last night, Alex Rodriguez drove in a pair of runs and snapped an 0-for-29 skid with men on base as the New York Yankees defeated visiting Minnesota, 7-2.

Things are looking up for baseball's highest-paid player, who didn't suck in a playoff game for the first time in forever. Does his new girlfriend get the credit?

A day earlier and a few miles away, Kate Hudson was seen donning a wedding dress in Manhattan. Does that mean they are ready to walk down the aisle?

No. She was just doing a photo shoot for Harper's Bazaar.

But Kate Hudson and Alex Rodriguez are serious about making a life together. Pals say the smitten New York Yankees slugger is ready to make the Bride Wars star his wife, even getting her mom Goldie Hawn involved.

“Alex called Goldie and asked if she and [her partner] Kurt Russell would give their blessing to his asking Kate to marry him,” a friend reports.

“Alex is planning on doing it around New Year’s," the source adds.

We expect an on-field proposal from A-Rod after the Yankees clinch. But only after they clinch the Division Series, so there are more games left and it's kind of awkward.

"Usually Kate goes away with her family to Aspen, and Alex thought it would be romantic to do it front of a fireplace while snow was falling outside.”

Already acting like a married couple, A-Rod and Kate brought Ryder, her five-year-old son with rocker ex-husband Chris Robinson, along to look at luxury properties in NYC’s trendy Greenwich Village, SoHo and TriBeCa.

The previous week, Kate played mom to Natasha, 4, and Ella, 17 months, A-Rod’s two daughters with his ex-wife Cynthia Rodriguez, as the pair toured six-bedroom homes on the West Coast, where the couple plans to reside this winter.

While Kate’s rep claims rumors that the beauty is engaged and already pregnant are “absolutely not true,” friends still worry she's moving too quickly.

“She did it with Chris, Owen Wilson and now Alex,” notes an insider. “[Kate's] a hopeless romantic. She jumps in head first and ignores the red flags.”

She's already rounded third and headed for home with Yankees star Alex Rodriguez, but Kate Hudson won't get any hugs in the dugout from Minka Kelly.

The Friday Night Lights star is the girlfriend of New York's captain - and perceived A-Rod rival - Derek Jeter. And Minka doesn't like A-Rod's new play thing!

At home games, relations between the two actresses are said to be colder than fan reactions to those $2,000 seats at the new Yankee Stadium.

"There's been visible coldness between Minka and Kate," an insider told the New York Post. "I don't know if it's a personal thing, or just an extension of the ongoing A-Rod-Derek Jeter rivalry. But people are choosing sides."

Forget Red Sox-Yankees. This rivalry on the periphery the team with baseball's best record is far more interesting than your average MLB rumors.

Who would you rather ...

According to New York media sources, Minka Kelly has been dating Jeter since last year, although you'd scarcely know it. She prefers to cheer him on from his private seats and keeps a low profile, rarely being photographed with him.

Then Kate Hudson burst on the scene.

She's been snapped kissing Alex Rodriguez in the stands, and recently switched from sitting in a private box to hanging out in the family seats, cheering on the team with Yankees wives such as Amber Sabathia and Karen Burnett.

Hudson, who also enthusiastically attended the Bombers' family picnic, seems to have gotten an early thumbs-up from veteran Yankee spouses Michelle Damon and Laura Posada, whose stamp of approval is crucial, a Post source said.

Reps for Hudson and Kelly didn't respond to requests for comment, but we are holding out hope for a public war of words, and/or a cat fight in the stands.

Yes, Alex Rodriguez and Kate Hudson have only been dating a few months. But love is love, and Kate wants to have the New York Yankees star's child.

She’s hoping to start a family with him, In Touch Weekly reports.

While there's no way this is actually true, it's a great piece of celebrity gossip just the same. Especially since they went public only a few weeks ago.

Hudson has a 5-year-old son, Ryder, from her marriage to Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes, but feels like it's time for a sibling, according to the mag.

“(Hudson) just turned 30 and she’s ready to have a second child,” an alleged Kate Hudson insider told In Touch. “She wants Ryder to have a sibling."

"She brought up the idea to Alex and told him that they would make a beautiful baby together, and that she would assume all financial responsibility.”

At least you can't accuse her of digging for gold, Tameka Foster style.

Kate Hudson longs for A-Rod ... and a little Rod of her own?

While some Yankees backers are pleased with A-Rod's positive stats since he started hitting home runs off the field with Kate, others believe this is destined to become distraction - and that pregnancy rumors will only make things worse.

Fortunately for all, the same “insider” says that A-Rod, who has two daughters, Natasha, 4, and Ella, 16 months, with ex-wife Cynthia Rodriguez, is just not ready for more kids right now. Convenient, as the whole story's made up anyway.

A-Rod may have a new lucky charm.

The New York Yankees slugger, who sparks even more celebrity gossip rumors than he does MLB rumors, recently went public with movie star Kate Hudson, and he's been on top of his game ever since, raising his average to .259!

His average since their first public smooch on July 25 is up almost 25 points. And not only is he hitting home runs off the field (if you know what we mean!) he swatted two balls out of the yard in a weekend sweep of the Boston Red Sox as well.

Yankee fans are pleased with the impact his relationship is having.

"It's gotta help him out a little," said baseball fan Mike Grassi, 20, from Long Island. "I would definitely play a lot better if I had her as my girlfriend."

"He's got a hot girl on his side," agreed Erik Vesper, 22, a Yankees backer from South Plainfield, N.J. "It's making up for all of her terrible movies."

K-ROD: Kate Hudson and Alex Rodriguez have gone public.

The bubbly blond Kate Hudson, 30, has been rooting for Alex Rodriguez, 34, all summer, laughing and waving from a front row seat at Yankee Stadium.

The New York Daily News caught up with the actress last night at Los Dados restaurant in Manhattan's Meatpacking District and she declined comment - but smiled - when asked if her presence has been helping A-Rod's game.

The MLB's active home run leader made his relationship with her official at the team's family picnic day, cuddling and smooching for the cameras. Since that day A-Rod is batting .283 and striking out a lot less ... in more ways than one! 

On Saturday, Hudson even brought parents Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell to the game. The family went wild as the Yankees beat the Sox, 5-0.

We think they're onto something here ...

According to recent reports, baseball slugger Alex Rodriguez - who went 0-for-4 with a strikeout last night at Fenway Park - has been smashing home runs off the field with Kate Hudson more often than on it with the New York Yankees.

Not everyone is thrilled with this new, sexy couple however. Kate's mother, Goldie Hawn, has reportedly cautioned Kate about the new relationship.

Kate was first linked to the baseball star last month and both are said to be “somewhat serious” about the relationship - with A-Rod introducing the actress to his pals (which he apparently has) and Kate attending a bunch of his recent games.

But a source close to the family has said that Goldie Hawn is worried that the romance will go the same as her previous relationships since splitting from husband Chris Robinson, with whom she has a son, Ryder, in the summer of 2006.

Alex Rodriguez is batting a lackluster .238 so far this MLB season, but with his conquest of Kate Hudson, he's proving himself a prime time player just the same.

“Goldie feels it’s time Kate left the dating scene for a while," says a source. “Kate’s had a string of boyfriends since her divorce from Chris and it’s always the same pattern - she falls hard and fast, then gets bored or has her heart broken.

“Goldie hates the idea of seeing Kate getting hurt again.”

Over the past three years, Kate Hudson has dated Lance Armstrong, Owen Wilson and Dax Shepard, among others. Last year, A-Rod’s wife Cynthia Rodriguez filed for a divorce on the grounds of his “spiritual affair” with Madonna.

Madge later dumped him for a physical affair with Jesus Luz, but still claims credit for elevating his celebrity status and enabling him to bag Hudson.

Alex Rodriguez went 1-for-3 with a run in the Yankees' 4-3 win over the Rays yesterday ... then may have scored in a different way later that night!

Enjoying a swanky evening out, the Rod and rumored fling Kate Hudson were spotted out and about in New York City at the famed 40/40 nightclub.

They exited separately to avoid being photographed together, but don't think it was a coincidence that both happened to be there at the same time ...
