Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin partied together at the Gotham Magazine Gala in New York City last week, and grace that publications cover this month.

Here are some excerpts from the 30 Rock stars' interview ...

Tina Fey: I think Alec being on the show bought 30 Rock a lot of time. He's such a brilliant actor and he's not someone you get to see for free on TV. He absolutely bought us the whole first year. But I think that people who see the show really do like it; it's just a question of getting people to try it out. We have the label of a "low-rated" or "poorly rated" show, but it's weird, because on the same day I'll see us referred to as "the low-rated 30 Rock" I'll read "the hit show Gossip Girl." We rate higher than Gossip Girl, but there's a different expectation on NBC than the CW.

Gotham: Have you seen Gossip Girl?

Tina Fey: No, but the children on it are very beautiful.

Gotham: What are your resolutions for 2008?

Tina Fey: An attempt at a less vulgar life. Less cursing, less bile. I sort of got into trouble last year â€" I went on Howard Stern and ran my mouth a little bit about Paris Hilton [Fey said Hilton is a "piece of $h!t" and "looks like a tranny" among other things.] Not only was that not the right way for a 37-year-old woman to behave, but I went to my gynecologist for my yearly checkup shortly thereafter and she was like, "I read that thing [you said about Paris Hilton] in the paper. That was very hostile. Are you all right?" So, starting there: being less vulgar and hostile.

ALEC BALDWIN vs. KIM BASINGER

He says: Kim is a manipulative liar who dedicates most of her live to making him miserable and not allowing him to see daughter Ireland.
She says: Alec and Saddam Hussein are pretty similar.
Custody (of the kids): Almost all Kim, especially after Alec infamously tore Ireland a new one on that gotta-hear-it-to-believe it voicemail.
Custody (of the fans): Alec Baldwin. Sure, he's got some personal issues. But watch this guy on 30 Rock and you just can't stay mad.

Busta Rhymes was released back into the world after his DUI arrest about 36 hours ago, our celebrity gossip spies have learned, but he'll have to head right back to the courtroom for his arraignment next week.

A source says when the rapper was accosted yesterday by cops, he told officers that he'd only had "a shot of Hennessy" before he took the wheel of his GMC Denali.

The cops - in the arrest report obtained by TMZ - said Busta Rhymes had "watery and bloodshot eyes."

After he failed a field sobriety test, the police arrested him, but at the station, he actually blew a 0.067, below the legal limit of 0.08.

He was still charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, and one count of operating a motor vehicle while impaired.

After his release on $7,500 bail this afternoon, Busta is expected next Tuesday, when he'll also have to face assault charges on two separate incidents from last year.

Elsewhere on the DUI front, Eve has been officially charged with driving under the influence, stemming from an accident in L.A. last week.

Eve was arrested after she crashed her Maserati into a divider in Hollywood around 2:45 AM. Police sources say her blood alcohol level was nearly twice the legal limit.

And, like 50 Cent, she had no car insurance. But at least Sean Penn paid her a jail house visit. Eve is due back in court May 17. She could face a $1,000 fine and six months in jail.

Meanwhile, TMZ reports that Alec Baldwin won't attend a court hearing in which a judge will decide if he should win back the right to contact his daughter.

Baldwin's right to interact with Ireland was nixed after the judge heard the now-famous voicemail tirade the actor left for his daughter.

A Baldwin source says Alec won't be at the hearing because the lawyers, not the parents, are the ones who will speak. The source added that Ireland is "of paramount importance to him."

Sources also say Kim Basinger will be in court for the hearing.

Alec had a "great two-week visit with Ireland" back in March, a friend says - and after that visit, Baldwin suspended a motion to charge Kim with contempt for allegedly interfering with his parental rights.

Baldwin suspended the motion as a show of good faith. The upshot? He could resurrect the contempt charge in the wake of what went down recently.

In an emotional appearance on The View, taped Wednesday and scheduled to air Friday, the embattled Alec Baldwin offered an apology for the angry tirade he left on his 11-year-old daughter's voicemail.

"Obviously, calling your child a pig, or anything else improper, is inappropriate and I apologize to my daughter for that," Baldwin told the departing Rosie O'Donnell and the rest of The View panel.

"There's nothing wrong with being frustrated or angry about a situation," Baldwin said. "It's the way you do it, and as people often do in this world, I took it out on the wrong person."

Baldwin, 46, whose battle with ex-wife Kim Basinger took a very public turn last week when his voicemail to daughter, Ireland, was leaked to TMZ, did not say whether he has talked to his daughter since the voicemail hit the Internet last week. But he insisted the incident was isolated.

"In my own case, with this message, I had never done this before in my life," he said.

Baldwin also added that he has asked NBC to release him from his contract for 30 Rock, because he doesn't want the show or its cast and crew to be negatively affected by him.

"If I never acted again I couldn't care less," he told the audience. "I would like to devote myself to the cause of parental alienation," which is a subject Baldwin says he's writing a book about.

Baldwin also said he may leave the country if released from his deal with NBC. For her part, Kim Basinger has said she hopes her ex will curb his "irrational behavior."

"It is Kim's sincerest wish is for [Alec Baldwin] to finally address his unstable and irrational behavior so he, at some point can potentially create a relationship with his daughter."

After the show, audience members were conflicted about Baldwin's mea culpa.

"There's two sides to every story," one audience member said. "So he gave his side, but his ex-wife should have her chance to give her side, too."

"We did feel sorry for him," another said. He made us understand his point of view."

Meanwhile, Baldwin's younger brother, William Baldwin, has rushed to Alec's defense, telling People that Alec "is a fantastic human being" who can "get hotheaded, but only about really, really important things like family."

"What people don't understand is that when a man goes through a divorce, there is a fear that your ex-wife is poisoning the well and pitting your own child against you. Alec's attitude and tone reflects that concern," Billy Baldwin said.

30 Rock executive producer Lorne Michaels, echoed the sentiment.

"When you're dealing with custody, you never really know what's going on, but I know he cares deeply about his daughter."

The other Baldwin brothers, Jesus freak Stephen Baldwin and car thief Daniel Baldwin, were not available for comment. But both surely wish Alec the best.

Kim Basinger denied leaking Alec Baldwin's angry voicemail rant to their daughter Ireland and called on her ex-husband to "finally address his unstable and irrational behavior."

"Everybody is always asking why this custody battle has been going on for so many years and now they have the answer," Basinger said in a statement, released by her rep yesterday.

"The issue is not about Kim Basinger, or the alleged alienation that Alec constantly refers to. It is about his ongoing aggressive behavior," the rep added.

Kim Basinger, who has been charged with contempt of court in the past regarding her custody fight with Baldwin, claims she "did not release the voicemail," but adds that the message "was not sealed under a court order."

Alec Baldwin's attorneys had claimed the voicemail was in fact kept in a sealed court file, and leaked by Basinger or her attorneys.

The three-year custody fight for 11-year-old Ireland intensified last week when TMZ posted Saddam Hussein's Alec Baldwin's threatening voicemail in which he berated the child as a "little pig" and threatened that we was going to "straighten her out."

Baldwin said he had been "driven to the edge" by the years of court battles and called himself a victim of parental alienation â€" in which one parent alienates a child against the other during a custody battle.

Alec Baldwin has been criticized on his own Web site, and now Basinger says Baldwin has only himself to blame.

"Kim's sincerest wish is for him to finally address his unstable and irrational behavior so he, at some point, can potentially create a relationship with his daughter," says her rep's statement. "Until then, Kim will continue to protect and safeguard her child's well-being as any parent would."

Over the weekend, Basinger hired security "in response to media attention on her daughter in order to allow Ireland to maintain her regular routine and activities uninterrupted," the statement says.

Baldwin attorney Vicki Greene, who took legal action against Basinger yesterday, reiterated her claim that the tape "had to have been released by someone from Kim's side" and disputed that the tape was not under seal.

"We don't agree with Kim's position," says Greene.

"This court has sealed proceedings for Ireland's protection for years. Why would this recording be any different? I'm not even allowed to say whether the tape was played in court or not. The are breaking the confidentiality rules."

Alec Baldwin is taking legal action to find out who leaked the insane voicemail tirade he left for his 11-year-old daughter to celebrity gossip site TMZ.

Baldwin has formally filed Order To Show Cause papers in Los Angeles Superior Court to find out why his ex-wife Kim Basinger and her lawyers should not be held in contempt over the tape's release.

The court papers, filed by Alec Baldwin's lawyer Vicki Greene, state:

"Petitioner (Kim Basinger) is the only parent with custody, possession and control of the minor child's telephone voicemail message that was dissemination to Harvey Levin and TMZ.com.

"I do not know how Mr. Levin received any information about the court proceeding that was closed to the public, but again, it had to come from someone connected to the proceeding, and it was not me."

TMZ is refusing comment on how it obtained the recording, in which Alec Baldwin verbally chastises his daughter and calls Basinger "a thoughtless pain in the a$$."

Baldwin, who has fought bitterly with Basinger since their separation in 2000, saw visitation rights for his daughter temporarily suspended by a California judge last week, after a judge heard the recording.

Meanwhile in other news the actor has posted an apology online, explaining that his leaked answer machine rant was the result of being "driven to the edge" by his bitter custody battle with ex-wife Kim Basinger.

The star of The Departed was reported to be taking legal action on Saturday to find out who was responsibly for the leaked three-minute recording to TMZ, in which he verbally chastised his 11-year-old daughter Ireland.

But on his official site, Baldwin blames the L.A. Confidential star for "alienating" him from young Ireland, which propelled him to lose his temper.

"Although I have been told by numerous people not to worry too much, as all parents lose their patience with their kids, I am most saddened that this was released to the media because of what it does to a child. I'm sorry, as everyone who knows me is aware, for losing my temper with my child. I have been driven to the edge by parental alienation for many years now... I am sorry for what happened. But I am equally sorry that a court order was violated, which had deliberately been put under seal in this case."

Mel Gibson may resemble Saddam Hussein. Alec Baldwin has also been likened to the former Iraqi dictator by some, though, and a recording we posted yesterday didn't exactly dispel rumors of the actor's tyrannical ways.

In case you missed it, Baldwin unleashed a tirade of threats, insults and general rage against on his 11-year-old daughter, Ireland, on her voicemail after she failed to answer his scheduled call from New York April 11.

The clip, obtained by TMZ, and which you can listen to HERE, pretty much speaks for itself. But in the past 12 hours, The Hollywood Gossip staff has learned of the following updates to the story:

UPDATE #1: On Wednesday of this week, Los Angeles County Superior Court commissioner Maren Nelson heard the voicemail tirade and has temporarily suspended Baldwin's visitation rights. A hearing is set for May 4, where the judge could permanently deny Alec Baldwin visitation or contact with Ireland.

UPDATE #2: Kim Basinger's publicist, Annette Wolfe, has released a statement, stating simply: "The voicemail speaks for itself."

UPDATE #3: A friend of Alec Baldwin's has spoken out on the matter, saying that the actor called Ireland last week and apologized for his outburst. The friend added that Ireland is the most important thing in the world to Alec and that he is frustrated because over the last six years, Basinger has "tried everything" to alienate Ireland from him.

UPDATE #4: Alec Baldwin's spokesperson officially released the following statement to the TV show Extra:

"In the best interest of the child, Alec Baldwin will do what Ireland's mother is pathologically incapable of doing ... keeping his mouth shut and obeying the court order. The mother and her lawyer leaked this sealed material in violation of a court order. Although Alec acknowledges that he should have used different language in parenting his child, everyone who knows him privately knows what he has been put through for the past six years."

Holy crap.

That's all we can say after an enraged Alec Baldwin apparently unleashed a tirade of threats, insults and unrelenting rage against on his 11-year-old daughter, Ireland, a quote-unquote "little pig" who has "insulted [him] for the last time."

Ireland failed to answer her father's scheduled call from New York April 11, causing Alec Baldwin to lose his freaking $h!t on her voicemail.

"Once again, I have made an ass of myself trying to get to a phone," the 30 Rock star seethed, before going off on a lengthy rant against his ex-wife and Ireland's mother, Kim Basinger.

"I don't give a damn that you're 12 years old or 11 years old, or a child, or that your mother is a thoughtless pain in the ass who doesn't care about what you do... You've make me feel like sh!t."

"This crap you pull on me with this godd@mn phone situation that you would never dream of doing to your mother," Baldwin, who has been called a tyrant bastard, continues, "... and you do it to me constantly over and over again."

This is disturbing stuff. All we can say is that this is one screwed up family... one that makes the family of Lindsay Lohan seem normal. Well, sort of. Okay, not really.

But there's no way Alec's less famous, Jesus freak brother, Stephen Baldwin would ever do anything like this. Nor would Andy Baldwin, who's no relation to the two, but is proving himself to be quite the gentleman on The Bachelor.

Alec Baldwin just can't find the right woman.

Some might say that's because he's a boorish, Saddam Hussein-like tyrant. Others might counter that it's not his fault his ex-wife, Kim Basinger, went insane.

Regardless, Baldwin might be turning to the Internets for help getting back onto the dating scene. In an interview in the February issue of Glamour, Baldwin says he's thought about online dating, and imagines the kind of responses he might get.

"I could post my picture and say, 'People tell me I look like Alec Baldwin.' They'll go, 'Oh, I hate him' or 'Who the hell is he?'"

Since his split from Basinger, his wife of eight years, in 2002, Baldwin, has been linked to various women, including Sex and the City star Kristin Davis and lawyer Nicole Seidel.

But he says despite the swinging image that goes along with it, the life of a bachelor isn't easy (Lorenzo Borghese can certainly attest to that).

"You meet people who are great, but they're not who you want to turn the lights out with," said the Golden Globe nominated 30 Rock star.

In fact, the actor says he wants to feel the kind of love he once shared with Basinger, with whom he's now embroiled in an ugly custody battle over their 11-year-old daughter, Ireland.

"I would love to marry (again). I want to be in love again," Baldwin said. "I was in love when I was married, I'm not ashamed to say. I used to wake up in the morning and just look at (Kim) and say, 'What do you want for breakfast, baby? Special K with blueberries? Let me go get some.' "

If he does find the right woman, does the most famous of all those crazy Baldwin brothers want to have more children?

"Yes. The only time I'm truly happy is with my daughter. I can't think that this is my only shot at fatherhood," he said.

Alec, we have some good news for you: Courtney Love is not only single, but already doing the Internet dating thing. She's definitely your type.
