Laugh. Dance. Live.

It's the motto of Ellen DeGeneres and it also sums up the first official trailer for the 2014 Academy Award, which air on March 2 and which will be hosted by this hilarious comedian.

In the following minute-long preview, a dapper Ellen is joined by a handful of tuxedo-clad man as she dances around and lip-synchs to Fitz & The Tantrums' "The Walker."

"She loves to dance and now she loves to Walk!" the indie pop band Tweeted about the video. "@TheEllenShow and The #Oscars! Here We Go!"

Here we go, indeed.

Ellen - whose marriage to Portia de Rossi is NOT on the rocks, thank you very much! - continued to be awesome last month when she gave a car and cash to some hospital workers.

She's the best.

Perhaps in response to the huge success the Golden Globes found in their two funny lady hosts, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, last year, the Oscars have pegged Ellen DeGeneres to host this year's festivities.

Ellen took to twitter this morning to make the announcement...

"It's official: I'm hosting the #Oscars! I'd like to thank @TheAcademy, my wife Portia, and, oh dear, there goes the orchestra."

The Ellen nod was one of the first actions taken by new Academy President, Cheryl Boone Issacs. We can hope this is just the first of many good decisions on her part!

Did you like Seth MacFarlane's turn at hosting the Oscars this year?

Some did, many didn't. But you're not producing the Academy Awards, so unfortunately it doesn't matter. MacFarlane has been asked to return to host the 2014 Oscars.

With this year's producers, Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, returning to produce again next year, they want the Family Guy creator to come back with them.

MacFarlane, for his part, has previously stated that he did not want to host the show again. He has been given only a few weeks to decide.

Do you think MacFarlane made a good Oscar Host?

Jennifer Garner is speaking out about the Ben Affleck Oscar speech that had everyone talking and may have gotten more headlines than the Oscar itself.

If you don't recall, while thanking his wife, the Argo director referred to their marriage as "work" and began rambling about their (rumored) marital problems.

"I want to thank you for working on our marriage for 10 Christmases," he says. "It’s good. It is work but the best kind of work and there’s no one I’d rather work with."

Days later, tabloids had a field day reporting that Garner and Affleck were on the verge of divorcing, but Jen says nothing could be further from the truth.

If you know Ben, she says, that was him praising her.

It's happening. The news cycle is about to lap itself.

The 85th Annual Academy Awards have barely ended, and no good movies have even come out yet this year, but rumors are already circling about who will host next year's ceremony.

The good news: the rumors are about Justin Timberlake!

In Time Still

According to our friends at Movie Fanatic, Timberlake may host the Oscars next year. While the JT hosting rumor is just that, a rumor, it makes perfect sense.

So much for that dream.

With Seth MacFarlane saying he won't return to host the Academy Awards again, talk is already circulating over the emcee of the 2014 ceremony.

But the one woman everyone wants to see on stage told The Huffington Post this week we can take her name out of the running.

“I just feel like that gig is so hard,” Fey said yesterday. “Especially for, like, a woman - the amount of months that would be spent trying on dresses alone... no way.”

Michelle Obama's Oscars dress (by Naeem Khan) wasn't particularly risque by U.S. standards ... but in Iran, well, that sort of thing is JUST NOT OKAY!

Fars News, a TV network in Iran, edited the First Lady's dress in a story about her Academy Awards appearance posted on their website (see below).

Note the digitally added sleeves and neckline. Oh, you clever Tehran TV editors. Good job shielding Iranian viewers from Michelle's provocative outfit.

Fars News states that Obama, who handed out the Best Picture award, was used as a prop simply because the winner was “the anti-Iranian film Argo.”

You can rest easy, Anti-Defamation League and Parents Television Council.

Seth MacFarlane won't be around to offend any of your members in 2014. At least not on a stage as grand as the Oscars.

With controversy swirling around the comedian, and many believing he's racist, misogynistic and anti-Semitic, MacFarlane responded to a follower on Twitter this morning and made it clear:

This was a one-time hosting gig.

Go ahead and choose a section of society.

There's a decent chance it was offended by Seth MacFarlane at some point during Sunday night's Academy Awards telecast.

While Team Breezy fans can't believe the comedian joked about Chris Brown beating Rihanna, the Anti-Defamation League and the Parents Television Council both slammed MacFarlane's "offensive" humor yesterday.
