But while Ryan Phillippe and Abbie Cornish are far from beloved in Hollywood - that's what happens when you cheat on Reese Witherspoon, Ryan - they have at least one supporter.

"They're great," Rob Brown, Phillippe's friend and castmate in last spring's Stop-Loss, told People Magazine. "I was with them last night. They're good people."

Despite the fact that his cheating supposedly caused it, Phillippe has referred to his divorce from Witherspoon as "the darkest, saddest place I had ever been." But Brown added that his pal has moved on.

"He's alright," Brown said. "He's in good spirits and he seems happy. And I'm happy for him."

Two quasi celebrities - that are best known for who they are dating - celebrate birthdays today.

First, we'd like to wish a happy 26th to Aussie actress Abbie Cornish.

The birthday girl is rumored to have had an affair with Ryan Phillippe while he was still married to Reese Witherspoon. Whether or not that's true - and it is - this acting duo is definitely a couple now.

Moving on, Samantha Ronson turns 31 today. We know what this DJ will be getting as a present:

Now that Reese Witherspoon is officially dating Jake Gyllenhaal, Ryan Phillippe doesn't seem as shy about stepping out with girlfriend Abbie Cornish.

After months of speculation about their relationship - did he cheat on Witherspoon with his Stop-Loss co-star? - Phillippe accompanied Cornish to the 2008 Australian in Film Breakthrough Awards. It marked their first major event as a couple.

"They were adorable," a witness said to People. "He had his arm around her and they were cozy and comfortable."

So states Ryan Phillippe adamantly in the new issue of W magazine.

"I had difficulties in my relationship, and in my marriage, long before I ever met her," the actor said about Cornish, who has been accused of breaking up the marriage between Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon in 2006. "She and I are close friends, and as far as if there is any future, that is not where we are at now."

Come on, Ryan, you're saying Abbie Cornish really isn't your girlfriend?

Give us some dirt here.

"That is what other people like to say or like to assume," he said, referring to entertainment news outlets that have claimed he and Abbie have been dating for years. "As far as I'm concerned, it's a friendship, and we are getting to know each other in a really difficult situation."

We don't feel much sympathy for Phillippe, but he does at least come across as human in describing the divorce as "the darkest, saddest place I had ever been," while adding "I wanted to take time to make sure that my kids were okay and to build a new life that was going to be suitable to being a single parent."

On December 2, the couple took Ava, 8, and Deacon, 4, shopping in Los Angeles.

"Ava seemed very comfortable with Abbie," said a witness. "Ava picked a wreath and Abbie put it around her head as a joke. They were both laughing."

So, is Ryan Phillippe truly smitten with Abbie Cornish?

"Abbie is a free spirit. She indulges a side of Ryan that he's kept under wraps for years," said an insider.

With his ex-wife possibly still dating Jake Gyllenhaal, Ryan Phillippe is reportedly back together with his former mistress.

That's right, folks, there has been another Abbie Cornish sighting.

This Australian actress and Reese Witherspoon's ex-husband supposedly starting having sex... while Ryan was still married.

According to that loser celebrity gossip source, Perez Hilton, the pair stopped seeing each other once the affair was made public - but were spotted together again on August 5th in LA's Franklin Canyon Park.

"They were laughing," said a witness, "and obviously enjoying themselves."

Despite the rekindling of this flame, Phillippe is reportedly peeved about the Gyllenhitherspoon romance.

"Ryan is pissed about Jake," an insider told Us Magazine. Ryan told Reese he "didn't want ‘that guy' around their kids and then made some crude Brokeback Mountain remark."

The actor really sounds mature and level-headed in every way, doesn't he? Who would've guessed that Ryan Phillippe would give Spencer Pratt a run for the title of Biggest Jerk in Hollywood?

This is awkward.

In the past, our celebrity look-alikes didn't have much in common (aside from, you know, their looks). But Suri Cruise and Bjork? They've probably never even heard of each other.

The same can't exactly be said for this pair. Indeed, Reese Witherspoon and Abbie Cornish are rumored to share more than the blonde locks you see below.

We apologize to Ryan Phillippe if pointing out these similarities makes things uncomfortable. But we've got a job to do.

By now, everyone is surely aware that Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe are getting a divorce. No one knows the exact reason, however.

Too much time apart? Contrasting table manners?

A certain young, beautiful co-star?

Let's focus on that last one for a bit. Rumors are circulating that Phillippe had an affair with Abbie Cornish, an Australian actress that will be sharing the screen with Ryan in the upcoming film, The Golden Age.

But did they share a bedroom, as well? On October 10, Texan Lauren Scott witnessed Phillippe and a blonde, who fit Cornish's description, kissing at sushi restaurant Kenichi.

"I was pretty shocked that he would blatantly cheat on Reese in public," Scott told Us magazine.

We're not here to judge, just to introduce Cornish to the world. She's 24. She's 5'8". She hails from Down Under, so many on our staff compare this tall actress to Nicole Kidman. Kidman's camp had no comment on the comparisons.

Cornish will soon be seen in A Good Year alongside yet another Aussie, Russell Crowe. Will she make a move on that married man, too? It's hard to say.
