Bobby Brown to Serve 55 Days in Jail for 3rd DUI
Singer Bobby Brown has been sentenced by a judge to serve 55 days in jail as a result of his third DUI arrest in October 2012.
He was pulled over in L.A. four months ago for driving erratically, and was charged with operating on a suspended license and driving while intoxicated.
Brown entered a plea of no contest and was ordered to complete an 18-month alcohol program and was sentenced to nearly two months behind bars. The judge instructed him to attend three AA meetings per week until his incarceration date - set for March 20.
The entertainer married his manager Alicia Etheredge-Brown in June 2012. Their son Cassius is 3. Two months later he did a stint in rehab but soon relapsed, leading to his most recent arrest.
Brown has four other children, including an estranged daughter, Bobbi Kristina, 19, born during his union with Whitney Houston.
In an Oprah interview last month, Whitney's mother Sissy Houston and brother Michael Houston revealed they don't blame Brown for the downward spiral that led to Whitney's untimely death.
