Michael Moore's Bodyguard Arrested on Gun Charges
Filmmaker and anti-gun zealot Michael Moore's bodyguard, Patrick Burke, was arrested for carrying an unlicensed weapon Wednesday night at JFK airport in New York.
Police took Burke into custody after he declared he was carrying a firearm at a ticket counter. Burke is licensed to carry in California and Florida, but not in New York.
Liberal activist Moore has been vocal about the Sandy Hook shootings, spewing his anti-gun vitriol. “The NRA hates freedom,” he wrote on Twitter. “They don’t want you to have the freedom to send your children to school & expect them to come home alive.”
“The way to honor these dead children is to demand strict gun control, free mental health care, and an end to violence as public policy,” he tweeted.
Moore won an Oscar for his 2003 film "Bowling for Columbine," which criticizes America's "culture of fear" and "obsession with gun."
