I am a senior staff writer at THG and a big fan of Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Robert Pattinson. I believe Kim Kardashian is bad for society, but great for attention, and that The Real Housewives should all be banned from existence.

Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez are more than just best-selling recording artists.

They are also best friends!

This relationship was on full display at the American Music Awards on Sunday night, as Selena performed her new track ("The Heart Wants What It Wants"), breaking down on stage over Justin Bieber.

Toward the end of the rendition, cameras panned to a clearly emotional Swift in the crowed, showing support for her good pal.

Not long after the ceremony, Swift and Gomez were joined by a bunch of friends (including Lorde) for a fun gathering at which the above photo was snapped.

“Not a better way to end my night. Surrounded by SO much love,” wrote Gomez in regard to the image.

Kim Kardashian covers the latest issue of ELLE UK.

This fact, in and of itself, isn't exactly surprising, of course. But consider: she does so while fully clothed!!!

Indeed, fresh off the Kim Kardashian nude Paper Magazine spread that still has the Internet aflutter, Kanye West's better half graces three different covers for the Confidence Issue of this British tabloid.

In the first, posted above, Kim pretends to be eating a cupcake, seductively staring at her icing-covered fingers.

Will she put them in her mouth, thereby simulating oral sex and arousing millions of men around the world? We'll likely never know.

Viewers were treated to a mostly generic plot on State of Affairs Season 1 Episode 2.

It centered on a national security crisis, as a Russian ship was disguising itself at sea as an oil rig while hiding a submarine under the water.

With divers trying to retrieve information from a CIA fiber optics line, the tether is cut by a storm and the submarine plummets to a depth it’s not built to reach.

In D.C., Charlie, POTUS and the First Gentleman are having a meal in honor of Aaron’s birthday.

Charlie wishes to never lose the feeling that Aaron is watching, while POTUS wishes for justice to bell all who took her son away. But what about Fatah? The asset Charlie is yet to tell her boss about? Charlie remains mum.

We kicked off Jane the Virgin Season 1 Episode 7 with a flashback to a kiss between Jane and Rafael.

No, not the romantic one that concluded last Monday night's installment, but the first ever lip lock between the pair, back when Jane was 18 years old.

Why didn’t the relationship work out back then? Because Rafael never called, a fact Xo has not forgotten all this time later.

But Jane insists that Rafael has changed, an argument helped when he shows up at her door and says he wants to take her on a date.

Jane says she needs to go very slow, though, considering the baggage (sort of crazy ex-wife for him, unborn child for her, etc.) and her recent break-up, which she appears to be handling well.

That is, until Michael finds flowers sent by Rafael - along with a card and a mention of their kiss - and tells Jane that she isn’t “the person I thought you were.” OUCH.

On Monday night, a grand jury in Ferguson, Missouri voted NOT to indict Darren Wilson, the police officer who shot and killed 18-year old Michael Brown in August.

Riots broke out in the streets for days following the incident and, as documented in the following video, unrest followed the grand jury verdict once again last night.

Prosecutor Bob McCulloch explained via press conference that the grand jury found no probable cause for any of the charges considered against Wilson.

The officer could have faced prosecution for first-degree murder and manslaughter in the shooting of Michael Brown, whose death has led to so much unrest.

In response, President Barack Obama addressed the nation, pushing for calm, while celebrities from across all industries expressed their reaction on Twitter...

Russell Simmons: the D.A never represented the people properly. He never wanted an indictment. violent ones in the streets are likely those who didn’t vote.

Detective Esposito ended up on the wrong side of the tracks on Castle Season 7 Episode 8, almost literally:

He was one of many taken hostage by a captor with a mysterious agenda.

Espo as a Hostage

For many, the Presidential address (regarding the non-indictment in Ferguson, Missouri) cut into the opening few minutes of the hour.

But the catalyst for the culprit to take so many hostage was less important than the question of how Espo (and his new transit cop buddy) would extricate himself from this dangerous situation.

It wouldn't be easy, considering the man in charge was wearing a suicide vest that would detonate if he died.

The Milkaelson siblings took center stage on The Originals Season 2 Episode 8.

Yes, including Rebekah.

Claire Holt returned to that made her famous this week, with Auntie Beks calling Elijah in desperation because Esther had tracked her and Hope down.

With Klaus intent on turning Kol and Finn to their side, Elijah was sent to protect his siblings.

But Rebekah noticed something was off with Elijah almost as soon as they met at a diner. He had blood stain on his sleeve and when she went to change the baby, she noticed a dozen employees a diner patrons slaughtered in the kitchen.

Whatever Esther did to Elijah was still affecting him, which Rebekah at least figured out, snapping Elijah's neck to subdue him and calling Klaus with the news. They arranged to meet somewhere.

So... that was it?

Gotham Season 1 Episode 10 marked the midseason finale of this freshman Fox drama.

And if you were expecting the DC Comics-based series to leave you hanging from a cliff in anticipation its return in 2015... you were left sorely disappointed.

Bruce Wayne and his new gal pal, Selina Kyle, were on the run immediately, as assassins broke into Wayne Manor on a mission to kill the only witness to the Wayne murders.

Alfred fought them off as best they could because Alfred is totally awesome.

But Bruce and Selina Cat ended up in the underground world of Gotham, with Cat showing her rich young friend how to survive there.

In many places around the country, someone has forgotten to tell Mother Nature that it's not even Thanksgiving yet.

Take Buffalo, for instance. That northern New York city received nearly seven feet of snow last week. Yes, SEVEN FEET OF SNOW!

It was enough to drive its citizens to drink and its football team to play a "home" game in Detroit.

Fortunately, the good folks at the Toronto Zoo are here to make this early winter a little less awful, as they've released a video of a panda named De Mao "bear-bogganing," gliding around in his man-made environment and loving life in the snow.

Probably because he isn't being forced to play in Detroit...

When one is feeling down, panda bears are often useful animals.

They're pretty much guaranteed to turn a frown upside down, especially when being freaked out by a squirrel or sneezing in front of its mother.

The Holderness Family is back. And more hilarious than ever!

The same parents and children who brought you Christmas Jammies about a year ago has returned with their own take on Meghan Trainor's smash hit, "All About That Bass."

Only this one is titled "All About That Baste" and it's an ode to Thanksgiving and it features such lyrics as how the father is bringing "butter back" and how he keeps putting "all the wrong forks in all the wrong places."

And it's simply amazing.

Trainor hit has also spawned a Justin Bieber remix and this video of an 11-year old showing off some serious dance moves to the single.
