I am a senior staff writer at THG and a big fan of Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Robert Pattinson. I believe Kim Kardashian is bad for society, but great for attention, and that The Real Housewives should all be banned from existence.

It's a day of celebration for a number of singers, comedians, actors and models today.

But let's start with Jennifer Hudson. The former American Idol finalist is now 30, celebrating the milestone during a year in which she released a new album and added to her resume: aside from being a successful singer and actress, Hudson will become an author in the near future, penning a memoir about weight loss.

The nation stopped yesterday and remembered the terrorist attacks from a decade ago that changed everything, as former President George W. Bush joined current President Barack Obama at the unveiling of the 9/11 Memorial in New York City.

Paul Simon sang an acoustic version of "The Sound of Silence" at the event, while others from Hollywood chimed in via Twitter. We've posted a few of their responses below, as well as an ABC News tribute set to Beyonce's "I Was Here."

Demi Lovato beat out an impressive field on Saturday night and took home the 2011 ALMA Award for Favorite TV Actress.

At an event that bills itself as paying "tribute to the spirit of pioneering Latinos in television, film, and music," Lovato earned the above title over Naya Rivera, Victoria Justice and Selena Gomez. She also stunned in a nude-colored Maria Lucia Hohan dress, as seen here:

Have we already found the first X Factor champion?

Granted, it's a bit early to make such a claim, considering the singing competition doesn't premiere until September 21. But Fox aired an eight-minute preview of the Simon Cowell-judged series last night and gave extended time to Rachel Crow, a 13-year old with a winning personality, a sad personal tale and a terrific dance.
