I am a senior staff writer at THG and a big fan of Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Robert Pattinson. I believe Kim Kardashian is bad for society, but great for attention, and that The Real Housewives should all be banned from existence.

Come on, Kellan Lutz.

It's not enough that you have a ridiculous body? You also need to love animals and pose with puppies more adorable than all the Twilight Saga stars combined?

Kellan Picture

The actor stars in a new PETA campaign. Unfortunately, he isn't naked, like so many other animal-loving celebrities have been when appearing in ads for this organization.

But Lutz still has an important message to send, as the poster below reads: “Buying Animals Is Killing Animals. Save a Homeless Dog or Cat - Always Adopt and Never Buy.”

Said the actor:

"There are surprisingly so many animals in these animal shelters. It’s sad, and knowing that they get euthanized... and there’s a lot you can do... spay or neuter your pets so that doesn’t happen.”

Seriously, Kellan. You already have a hard body. Must you match it with a soft heart?

Leave some girls for the rest of us, will ya?

According to his rep, Charlie Sheen has entered rehab as "a preventative measure."

The associate wouldn't elaborate on this reason and we may know why: sources say Sheen is trying to prevent a further relapse into cocaine and alcohol.

Charlie Sheen Party Poster

RadarOnline.com claims the Two and a Half Men star has fallen back into the dangerous habits that led to a pair of previous stints in treatment centers. For the sake of his family, Sheen had no choice but to step away from his sitcom for a few weeks.

“He loves his children and ultimately that’s what convinced him to get help,” an insider said.

Friends say the Christmas Day confrontation that has led to charges against Sheen was fueled by a bender both he and wife Brooke Mueller were on. Each had been partaking in drugs and alcohol that night, allegedly.

“But the partying didn’t stop there. He’s used coke and been drinking many, many other times since then," the source said, even adding that Sheen got high with Mueller the night before she went into rehab.

It's unclear what the future now holds for this couple, but this much in undeniable: Two and a Half Men is incredibly lame and unfunny.

When two trusted sources of journalistic integrity - such as Life & Style and In Touch Weekly - publish contrasting stories, it's a bit like watching parents fight.

Whose side do you take? Who in this world can you trust? Where does the truth lie?

Such is our reaction today, as Kourtney tells Life & Style that she loves Scott Disick and really wants "to make it work."

"Everything between us is amazing," she said. "It's definitely been hard. But I just reached a point where I needed everyone to get over it. This is the father of my baby.

HOWEVER, this cover of In Touch Weekly paints a very different picture... literally!

In breaking, truly startling news, the tabloid states that Kourtney and Scott actually don't get along. They are - gasp!!! - faking their relationship for the camera. It also begs the question:

Is E! the "Devil?" We always thought that was Spencer Pratt, or the Smoke Monster from Lost, but we're open to it being any network that airs a show dedicated to the life of Bill and Giuliana Rancic.

You tell us: Has Kourtney made a deal with the devil?

He's not as famous as his 17-year old sister.

Nor is he as racy as his 10-year old sister.

But Trace Cyrus does have something his famous siblings can't lay claim to: a birthday today! He turns 21.

Trace is a guitarist and singer for the band Metro Station. He made news in the summer of 2009 for dating Demi Lovato and then for trashing The Jonas Brothers.

As seen below, Cyrus is clearly a graduate of The Matthew McConaughey School of Dressing. Send him your birthday wishes, and possibly a shirt, right now...

They were linked throughout 2009 as artists that burst onto the scene and captured the heart of music fans in wholly contrasting ways:

Adam Lambert was loud, in your face, sexy, gay, proud and confident.

Susan Boyle was quiet, timid, reliant on an opera-like voice that's been hidden inside a (let's face it) ugly body.

Both released debut albums in November, with Boyle's breaking records and dominating the charts for months. Lambert's fared well, but it didn't stand out in nearly the same way.

Now, Adam has ripped into the Scottish singer, saying in a recent interview:

If only it weren't for Susan Boyle! I'm happy for her success, but that album is terrible. "Wild Horses" is the one that made me laugh the hardest. I just died when I heard it, I was crying with laughter. It was the most horrendous, sacrilegious treatment of that song!

Adam Photo

In his defense, Adam says he's been misquoted. He and Susan appeared on Oprah together last month and certainly seemed to get along well. He was also clearly laughing when he said the words above, but it's not hard to see why they've created such a stir.

We're enormous fans of Lambert and have defended him against critics since his run on American Idol. But it's hard to have any reaction to these comments, IF he said them, aside from: Bitter much?!?

Lambert's honest and open attitude is a major appeal, but anyone can go too far. When the target is a singer who has outsold him by millions, the attack just seems fueled by jealousy and pettiness.

Was Lambert joking around when he critiqued Boyle? Probably. But he should have known better than to go on record with such pointed words. If he referred to to the album as "terrible," then he's entitled to his opinion - but so are others that believe he should have thought more about these comments.

** UPDATE: Through discussion with fans of Lambert, we have modified this article's headline. They are correct that the initial version - "Adam Lambert Rips Into Susan Boyle" - was unnecessarily harsh and did not paint an accurate picture of Adam's comment.

Before we break down each American Idol performance from the first night of live auditions, we must say: The judges seem confused.

They chose a slew of Taylor Swift-like guitar players, laid back contestants (Didi Benami, Crystal Bowersox, Janell Wheeler, etc.) with a quiet sound, and then complained last night when the women played to their strengths. Simon continually said he didn't have any "Wow!" moments, but, in many ways, he didn't select any "Wow!" contestants for the semifinals.

Below, in descending order, we rank our favorite performers from the evening:

  1. Lilly Scott: Played with the arrangement on “Fixin’ A Hole” by the Beatles and stood out with her original sound/look. Comes across as a "real, indie artist," as Randy said.
  2. Michelle Delamor: Almost seems like a professional singer already. We wouldn't have chosen an Alicia Keys song because it sets the bar too high, but Delamor can wail. If this is an actual singing competition, based on the best voice, she's the best woman.
  3. Siobhan Magnus: Different, dark, we liked her version of "Wicked Game" a lot. Falls somewhere between the acoustic players mentioned above and Delamor.
  4. Crystal Bowersox: We can't get enough of the harmonica, but that alone won't be enough to carry her to the title.
  5. Katelyn Epperly: Didn't like the look. As Ellen said, she was trying too hard. But nice, blues-like version of a Beatles song.
  6. Didi Benami: The perfect song choice (“The Way I Am” by Ingrid Michaelson), but what will her range be like? Seems like this is the exact performance she'll put on every week.
  7. Paige Miles: The biggest surprise of the night, only because we scarcely saw her on previous weeks. A great voice.
  8. Janell Wheeler: Attempted to go outside of her comfort zone and rock out to Heart's "What About Love." Points for trying, at least.
  9. Katie Stevens: We agree with the judges. You're adorable. Choose songs that are younger and more fun. But amazing pipes.
  10. Ashley Rodriguez: Shockingly in danger already. But unless fans want nothing but Swift wannabes, will give this potential rocker another chance.
  11. Haeley Vaughn: Just awkward all around, from her look to her version of "I Want to Hold Your Hand."
  12. Lacey Brown: Atrocious.

Though some people question the validity of the source, it now seems official: Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are a couple.

The former Twilight Saga star stated this in simple terms to The Sun over the weekend.

With that in mind, Stewart's recent praise of Robert's performance in Remember Me can be seen as a girlfriend supporting her man. Isn't that sweet?

“I’ve seen the movie, I’m going to just say... He’s really good in the movie.” Stewart told MTV News. “It’s like, he’s everything I know he is. I know he can do any film.”

Red Carpet Kristen

Kristen continued:

"Not everybody can play every part. He is really strong in the movie. Maybe people won’t really expect that - he’s quite bold, which is great.”

To that sentence, she then added... in bed!

Okay, fine. We added that. We're just excited that Robsten is out in the open now and psyched to go see Remember Me. Will you be lining up for this March 12 release?

This is just silly.

Tony Kornheiser, a former Washington Post columnist and ESPN radio show host, has been suspended by the network for criticizing the wardrobe of SportsCenter anchor Hannah Storm.

Last week, Kornheiser opened his show by critiquing the clothing Storm donned while she hosted a morning edition of SportsCenter. His exact words:

Hannah Storm in a horrifying, horrifying outfit today. She's got on red go-go boots and a catholic school plaid skirt. Way too short for somebody in her 40s or maybe early 50s by now. And she's got on her typically very, very tight shirt. So she looks like she's got sausage casing wrapping around her upper body... I know she's very good, and I'm not supposed to be critical of ESPN people..But, Hannah Storm, come on now!

Kornheiser later called Storm to apologize and also publicly apologized for the comments. He told his listeners today:

"I apologize, unequivocally. I'm a sarcastic, subversive guy... I'm a troll, look at me. I have no right to insult what anybody looks like or what anybody wears. That, I think, should go without saying."

ESPN has suspended the host for two weeks. We get it, you can't exactly call out a co-worker in the fashion with which he referenced Storm. (THG note: Free Britney once called my cut-off T-shirt "cheap" and was forced to fetch my coffee for a month.)

But Kornheiser makes ESPN gobs of money by co-hosting Pardon the Interruption. His biting, sardonic attitude is a major appeal for fans that watch the show.

Moreover, by suspending Kornheiser, the network has actually made national news of a story that few would have noticed if no punishment had been handed down. Ironic.

The Sheen family takes a very different approach to rehab than Amy Winehouse.

With wife Brooke Mueller checked into a treatment center for substance abuse, Charlie Sheen's rep has confirmed that his client has also entered a facility as "a preventative measure."

"He will take some time off his series Two and a Half Men," the rep added, not elaborating on why Sheen is in rehab.

The actor is facing domestic violence charges as a result of his Christmas Day confrontation with Mueller. He's expected in an Aspen court on March 15.

Stogie Smoker

Sheen has reportedly attended rehab programs at least twice before to battle drug and alcohol problems. A source tells People this stint relates to the fallout from the domestic violence case, however.

"Charlie is stressed. He's tired. The kids are on his mind. Brooke's on his mind," the insider said. "A lot of things are on his mind. He didn't want to get a place where he had the urge to get high. He's not using and he doesn't want to. He felt like he needed to get away from negative influences around him and clear his head, rest and take a short break."

Sheen will remain in the facility for two weeks.

Forget the Kim Kardashian engagement watch. We need to get the Khloe Kardashian pregnancy ticker going.

The recently-married reality star tells Steppin' Out magazine (the same publication that published this gruesome photo of Hailey Glassman) that she and Lamar Odom aren't trying to get pregnant, but...

"I'm not on the pill... I'm not sitting here staring at an ovulation calendar. I'm not saying to Lamar, 'Okay, it's time, let's go!' But people stir my words around. Let's just say sometimes I talk too much."

Khloe Kiss

You don't need to go far for an example:

On a recent episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Khloe said she might make a solo sex tape for Odom. She has now sort of clarified those remarks, while still teasing the possibility.

"It's called a love tape," Khloe said. "I don't do sex tapes! Although, with my husband, I can't say what I will or will not do in the future. I won't know until I'm in that moment."

In other words: she might do a sex tape.

As for sister Kourtney's roller coaster relationship with Scott Disick, Khloe says:

"Their relationship is definitely very different than mine. Mine is much smoother. I don't know if it's because we're still so new... But whatever their relationship is, it definitely works for them. They like that. I could never have a relationship like that."

Neither could Kourtney and Scott, of course. Each of their fights is scriped by E! and a team of writers.
