I am a senior staff writer at THG and a big fan of Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Robert Pattinson. I believe Kim Kardashian is bad for society, but great for attention, and that The Real Housewives should all be banned from existence.

Justin Bieber turns 17 years old today.

We'll give fans a few seconds to scream in delight over that fact, but then we hope they calm down and focus. The singer has made a special birthday request: he'd like you to donate whatever you can to a specific organization.

In his latest rant - this time to TMZ, from his own backyard - Charlie Sheen insinuated that long-time publicist Stan Rosenfield lied in October when he claimed that Sheen's Plaza Hotel breakdown was due to an allergic reaction.

As a result of this statement, Rosenfield issued the following statement this afternoon: "I’m unable to work effectively as his publicist and have respectfully resigned."

On Friday, John Galliano was suspended as the chief designer by House of Dior, as a couple in Paris complained that this fashion guru assaulted them with racial and religions slurs.

Specifically, patrons at a bar called La Perle told authorities that Galliano hurled anti-Semitic insults in their direction, a charge the designer's lawyer "formally denies," adding: "legal action will be taken against those making such accusations."

Television viewers awoke to two things this morning:

First, Sheen gave an interview to The Today Show. In light of his status as a father of five, Sheen was asked whether he was ashamed of his behavior.

About an hour into the 2011 Academy Awards telecast, co-host James Franco walked on to the stage in a dress.

To viewers, this was likely seen as either an act of desperation or hilarity, as he also tossed in a joke about Charlie Sheen, turning to Anne Hathaway and quipping: ”You got to wear a tuxedo so I wore this. The weird thing is I just got a text message from Charlie Sheen.”
