I am a senior staff writer at THG and a big fan of Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Robert Pattinson. I believe Kim Kardashian is bad for society, but great for attention, and that The Real Housewives should all be banned from existence.

Need a few examples that illustrate how far American Idol has fallen on season nine?

  • Fox now airs commercials for the remaining episodes that don't even focus on the contestants. Instead, they hype this as Simon's final season.
  • On last night's movie-themed edition, Casey James resorted to a rendition of "Mrs. Robinson" from The Graduate, in order to revive jokes about Kara's crush on him and distract from his lack of actual, finals-worthy ability.
  • Kara critiqued Lee's "Kiss From a Rose" with these vapid words: "It's one of most difficult songs to sing. But you can't take away from the fact that you are still great." Really? This is the final four. Isn't he supposed to be able to sing difficult songs at this point?
  • Former finalist Blake Lewis, blogging for USA Today, wrote: "The show is getting close to over and I am waiting for someone to have an amazing performance, but this year has been pretty boring, I must say. Hopefully someone will prove me wrong."

Amen, Blake. We've ranked last night's performances below, simply because we have to:

  1. Crystal Bowersox: Ellen said the evening got "Crystal-ized" with this rendition of "I'm Alright." Sadly, that pun was the highlight of the entire episode.
  2. Lee DeWyze: We summed him up above. The judges agreed his performance wasn't anything special, but basically admitted: Eh, you're better than Michael and Casey.
  3. Michael Lynche: Went with Michael Jackson's "Will You Be There" and did his usual connecting with the audience. At some point, though, viewers will have to realize that Big Mike's singing voice is nothing special.
  4. Casey James: The whole "Mrs. Robinson" thing was forced and lame. It's his time to go home.

WHO WAS YOUR FAVORITE PERFORMER?

  • Movie Song Rendition
  • Crystal Goes to the Movies
  • Surrounded by Fans
  • Casey and Michael

Miley Cyrus has tried to warn people: she can't be tamed!

According to a new report, this was never truer than at a wrap party last year for The Last Song. Radar Online states the actress gave producer Adam Shankman a lap dance at the event - and a tape of the performance is currently on the market!

Total Mess

“The video was taken about seven months ago,” a source says. “The worst part is that there were little kids at the party and the dancing between Miley and Adam was so dirty that some of the parents actually left the party and took their kids home.”

Not Billy Ray Cyrus, we presume. He probably loved his daughter's dirty work.

Those that have witnessed the video have relayed its contents:

  • Shankman is allegedly on the dance floor with a drink in hand, grinding against Miley's rear end.
  • She reciprocates the move.
  • Soon, Cyrus turns around to face the producer and unbuttons the top layer of her shirt, teasing Shankman and those around her.
  • In a separate scene, Miley is giving Shankman a lap dance while children under the age of 10 sit just a few feet away.

When photos of this moving and shaking appeared on Twitter in late 2009, Shankman (who is gay) defended Cyrus and wrote:

“Miley is a sweet angel who works tirelessly and endlessly, and is allowed to have fun in the make up room! Lighten up or no more behind the scenes pics! She’s my little angel sister.”

Others, however, fear that Cyrus won't be very angelic for much longer.

"[She's] heading down the same path as Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears," an insider said, insulting Miley in pretty much the worst way possible.

We'll have more on this video as news breaks and anonymous sources reveal more details about it.

** UPDATE: Watch the tape here and now!

Numerous reports have confirmed that Summit Entertainment and The Twilight Saga producers will divide Breaking Dawn into two films.

So, why has an official announcement still not been made regarding the final story in this franchise? Because a salary dispute may actually keep two key players from appearing in the final chapter.

Edward and Bella in Breaking Dawn

No, not Robert Pattinson or Kristen Stewart. Both of these stars, along with Taylor Lautner, have agreed to anchor both Breaking Dawn installments, with significant raises to show for it.

HOWEVER, neither Kellan Lutz nor Ashley Greene is close to a deal for the second of the two flicks. According to The Hollywood Reporter, each wants a bigger payday ($4 million) than the studio is willing to deliver.

"We may have a situation where one of them is thrown out on the street to make a point," a source actually said.

Might The Twilight Saga conclude without Kellan Lutz and/or Ashley Greene?!?

Such a drastic move would not be unprecedented, even within the Twilight universe itself:

Following her role as Victoria in Twilight and New Moon, Rachelle Lefevre was replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard in Eclipse.

Fans were distressed enough about that decision - but there could be an all-out mutiny if anyone in the Cullen clan is replaced with a new actor or actress. What do you think of this development?

It's a great day to be Taylor Swift or Carrie Underwood.

Then again, when is this ever not the case?

Along with Jason Aldean and Lady Antebellum, these two beauties lead the way with three CMT Music Awards nominations.

That ceremony, which is the only fan-voted awards show in all of country music, will air on June 9. It will be hosted by Kid Rock. No, really. Kid Rock.

  • Fancy Swift
  • Carrie in Concert

Who would have guessed that Carrie Prejean would be good for something?

The hypocritical, attention-loving liar may have lost her crown last year following the emergence of topless photos - but this incident led to enormous PR for the Miss USA Pageant, which has capitalized on that momentum by stripping down its contestants for this month's promo shots.

Donald and Melania Trump Picture

Hot case in point, Miss Washington Tracy Turnure:

Donald Trump, who owns the pageant, went on Ryan Seacrest's radio show yesterday and defended the event's decision to embrace its sexy side. Sort of.

"I think they've gone maybe a little over the top this year. These pictures are pretty wild," he said. "But the girls are incredible."

The Donald added that it's all good because the ratings are high:

"We are in a different age. They are a little bit sexy but I'll tell you what - everybody's watching, so I have no problems with it. If you look at Miss America, it's now off network television - and we’re doing better than ever, so I really have no problem with it."

Do you? Has the pageant (which airs on May 16) gone overboard? Or is it a welcome change for its organizers to stop pretending beauty pageants are about anything other than appearances?

Ponder those questions and ogle a few more of these scantily-clad contestants now:

Major OMG alert, THG readers. We're hope you're not operating any heavy machinery while reading this:

Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus went out to dinner last night at Ari-Ya Sushi in West Hollywood, reports X17 Online.

Not sighted on the premises: Miley's boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth. Spotted all around this young power duo: The dropped jaws of onlookers, all with the same thought: They're not on a date... are they?!?

It's unlikely, but it's also unclear. Cyrus said the pair is working on a "side project," while Bieber added Miley is "having fun with me."

As as all know, Miley's fun often involves expensive corsets and crotch gyrations.

  • A Sweet Face

In February, Bieber said Cyrus was not his type, but opinions change.

Sadly, the utter insanity of Justin's fans likely do not.

Cyrus might wanna sleep with one eye open this week, considering the death threats Bieber fans aimed at Kim Kardashian after she hung out with the singer at the White House Correspondents' Dinner.

We often make fun of Miley, but let's get serious Bieber supports: don't murder her.

Playboy has bad news for its readers: It's gonna be hard to claim you purchase this magazine solely for the articles.

That's because Hugh Hefner and company have come up with a novel approach to nudity, starting with the June issue that goes on sale this Friday: three dimensions of nakedness!

Indeed, Playmate of the Year Hope Dworaczyk (yes, that Hope Dworaczyk, the same woman that had an affair with NBA legend Jason Kidd) is featured on the magazine's cover in nothing but black lingerie. Inside is a 3D centerfold shot of her.

In a word: Oooga!

3D Playboy

Dworaczyk also posed for Playboy in April 2009, but this is an entirely new dimension of modeling. Literally!

What made Hefner follow the lead of Avatar, Clash of the Titans and pretty much big budget film going forward? The magazine's circulation has dropped from 3.5 million to 1.5 million over the last three years, so Hugh wondered:

"What would people most like to see in 3-D? Probably a naked lady."

Give the man credit: he's old, but his brain clearly still works.

Thanks to Betty White, the May 8 edition of Saturday Night Live posted the show's highest ratings in 18 months.

That hilarious hosting gig came about as the result of a passionate group of White supporters on Facebook, who created a group that pressured NBC to consider the actress.

Now, fans of White are at it again: the Facebook page "Getting Betty White to Host the Academy Awards” has amassed over 6,000 followers since launching Sunday night.

Not shabby support for an 88-year old former sitcom star. But will it enough to land her the job?

Betty White Photo

Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin served as co-hosts of last year's ceremony. Though each made us laugh a bunch of times, let's be honest: Oscar fashion has become a hotter topic than anything related to the ceremony itself.

Choosing White as next year's MC would go a long way toward changing that.

Do you think this is a good idea? Should Betty White host the Academy Awards?

According to Kim Kardashian, mom jeans are in.

We pray this doesn't become an actual trend.

But we could definitely get behind the style choices made by a trio of beauties over the last few weeks: Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez and Jessica Alba all broke out little black dresses at various public events.

It's one thing to have the support of your parents.

It's another thing to have the support of your parents when you're grinding with a stripper pole and then with a group of caged guys in a music video.

First, Billy Ray Cyrus assesed his daughter's controversial pole dance at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards by simply saying Miley "loves entertaining people."

Now, he apparently sees no problem with Miley prancing around in a provocative outfit and sexing it up with a bunch of guys in her video for "Can't Be Tamed."

"My dad loves it," the former Disney star told MTV News of the video. "[He] was thinking I was a little crazy while I was writing it because when you're hearing 'feathers coming out of your hands,' [you think] 'oh wow, looks crazy!'

"[But] they were so proud of the treatment that I came up for it."

Fan reaction to the video has been mixed. Some are happy to see Miley embracing a provocative, mature side; others believe she's setting a bad example for her young fan base.

It's no shock that Billy Ray is on Miley's side, though. This is the same father that let his nine-year old daughter walk the red carpet in THIS OUTFIT.
