Hilton Hater

I am a senior staff writer at THG and a big fan of Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Robert Pattinson. I believe Kim Kardashian is bad for society, but great for attention, and that The Real Housewives should all be banned from existence.

It's been a few months since the rumors first broke, but Jane Lynch confirmed them over the weekend: she's engaged to Lara Embry!

At an event in Los Angeles on Saturday, the actress was asked about marrying her long-time psychologist of a girlfriend. She replied to Us Weekly:

Jane Lynch Memoir

"Yes, yes, it's true! We don't have any plans at all yet. But I have a ring and everything. We're very happy and very excited!"

Lynch has starred in such hit movies as Best in Show and has appeared on numerous hit shows, among them Criminal Minds and Two and a Half Men. She currently plays Sue Sylvester on Glee.

As for Glee spoilers (the incredible Fox comedy returns with new episodes tomorrow night), Lynch offered the following:

"Olivia Newton John visits and we do the Physical video together. I sing 'Let's Get Physical.'"

Amazing.

Bruce Beresford-Redman has been released from the custody of Mexican authorities - but the former television producer is still considered the prime suspect in the recent death of his wife, Monica.

Last week, Monica's body was discovered in a sewer near the hotel where Bruce and her had been vacationing in Cancun. Witnesses had spotted the pair arguing a couple nights earlier, and Bruce was found with scratch marks on his neck.

Soon after thie grisly case came to light, Monica's sister (Carla Burgos) went on record with this bombshell: Bruce had been having an affair.

Now, Radar Online reports the identity of this mistress to be Joy Pierce.

Pictured: Bruce Beresford-Redman and his late wife, Monica. The former is a person of interest in the latter's death.

Pierce and Beresford-Redman first worked together in 2005 on The Contender. They also collaborated on a USA network show, titled Crash Course, last year. Their affair ended just months ago, sources told Radar.

“That’s why they went to Mexico - because she decided she wanted to try and reconcile the marriage and she believed he was done with the other woman,” Burgos said. “He told her, ‘I love you, I want to be with you.’ Monica really believed Bruce didn’t want to be with the other woman.”

Pierce has not been reached for comment.

In the latest issue of Dirrty Glam (yes, that's a real magazine), Shenae Grimes tries her hardest to look sexy.

To the actress' credit, she does look like she's been eating a couple cheeseburgers these days, as she's apparently taken THG's advice.

Still, would you tap the backside of this 90210 cast member? The key to true sexiness is to appear as though you aren't trying.

And, sorry Shenae, but this pictorial makes you look like you're taking direction from a photographer whose urging you to seduce the camera. The poses are about as natural as the on-screen chemistry between you and fellow 90210 stars...

She hasn't gotten naked in awhile, instead choosing to focus on giving props to Snooki and getting very close to Benji Madden.

But she also hasn't been photographed by the paparazzi in awhile, nor seen her post-Hugh Hefner boning stock rise to the levels of former housemate, Kendra Wilkinson.

Therefore, it should come as no surprise that Holly Madison says she'll soon pose nude for Playboy. Again.

"Maybe not right away because I was just on the cover last year," Madison told E! News. "Maybe get a little bit of time in between, but I also don't want to be one of those superold ladies who needs a ton of Photoshop, either."

In fact, Holly - whose new reality show, Holly's World, debuts in June - says she has a major "pet peeve" when older women pose for Playboy because they want to prove how someone over 40 can be beautiful... yet the entire spread is clearly Photoshopped.

"Sometimes the pictures don't even look like photographs. It looks like it came from the same people who brought you Shrek," she joked.

How does Madison maintain her figure? She says she eats "half junky and half healthy." As for future career plans? The Las Vegas resident says:

"I want to be mayor in, like, 10 years."

Just show us your boobs again and then we'll talk about our vote, okay?

Barack Obama wasn't a big fan of Sarah Palin's uninformed criticism of his nuclear arms treaty with Russia this week.

But at least the President, along with all rational human beings, can take solace in Palin's existence for one reason only: it's enabled Tina Fey to deliver the best satire television has seen in years.

The actress was at it again last night, impersonating the former Alaskan Governor (and current professional, paid speaker of BS) on Saturday Night Live. Fey introduced viewers to The Sarah Palin Network, which is comprised of the following programs:

  • Are You Smarter Than a Half-term Governor?
  • Tea Party Wheel of Fortune (Example of a puzzle: Obama is a Terrist)
  • Hey, Journalist, I Gotcha! (Where "I re-edit my interviews with journalists to make it look like they were the ones that were woefully unprepared.")
  • Man in a Helicopter with a Sniper Rifle vs. Wild

It takes a lot to upstage Justin Bieber on the show, but Fey did it with this great skit. Watch below.

We all know Justin Bieber can sing.

And there's no debate that the 16-year old, with the number-one album in the country, can look adorable.

But the teen sensation proved he possesses a couple acting chops last night, appearing in a pair of Saturday Night Live skits. First, he turned Tina Fey into a cougar, unable to resist the cute charms of Bieber's student. See what we mean now:

Then, he showed up near the end of another skit, slow-dancing with the luckiest SNL cast member alive.

Peep that video below and sound off: Did you watch Bieber on the show? What did you think?

Earlier this week, Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy broke up, ending a five-year relationship.

It looks like the comedian has no interest in starting a new one any time soon, considering his take on the Tiger Woods scandal.

First, he Tweeted a relatively harmless joke on Thursday, writing: "I think it's time we checked our collective EGO and let the guy play! If you really wanna see sexual disfunction get 2 know your favorite basketball star! Curling is the only safe sport 4 a married man."

There's certainly truth to that statement, as almost every world famous athlete - from Alex Rodriguez to Muhammad Ali to Kobe Bryant to Michael Jordan - has cheated on his wife.

But this is where Carrey may have lost his female fan base:

"No wife is blind enough to miss that much infidelity," he later Tweeted. "Elin had 2 b a willing participant on the ride 4 whatever reason. kids/lifestyle ;^)"

We'll never know the truth, of course, but Elin's reaction has been anything but one of acquiescence. Unlike jilted spouses such as Vanessa Bryant and Jenny Sanford, she didn't sit next to her husband during his apologetic press conference.

She isn't at The Masters, hasn't worn her wedding ring in months and totally won't put out for Tiger.

There's also a decent chance she hit him in the face with a golf club upon learning about Rachel Uchitel. You might wanna sleep with one eye open, Jim!

What do you think of Carrey's comments?

Almost a year to the day after Susan Boyle burst on to the global scene, Lin Yu Chun has taken the baton as the Next, Great, Unexpected Singer to Be Discovered on a Reality Show.

The 24-year old from Taiwan auditioned for that nation's version of American Idol with a rendition of "I Will Always Love You" that you need to hear to believe.

Let's just say its a whole lot better than anything Whitney Houston sings these days.

After receiving such acclaim for his performance, Chun spoke to The Associated Press about his life:

"I now have more confidence in pursuing a singing career. You don't have to be a good-looking man or woman to succeed. Just be yourself and try your best."

Lin said he suffered from a lack of self-esteem growing up because "being fat draws a lot of mockery in our society.

However, those difficult times helped the aspiring singer hone his talent: to cope with taunts from peers, Chun locked himself in his room and sang along to hits by Celine Dion and Mariah Carey.

But he loved Houston's take on the famous Dolly Parton classic the best: "I played it again and again even though my parents couldn't stand it anymore and asked me to stop," Lin said of the single that's made him famous.

His audition has already earned over 1.3 million views on YouTube and if Chun wins the competition, he'll pocket a well-deserved $1 million. Go get 'em, Lin!

Possibly coming to a TV screen near you: For the Love of Kim.

According to insiders close to Kim Kardashian, the newly-single reality star is pitching a dating series to producer Ryan Seacrest. Sounds like Ray J taught this vixen about more than just the best camera angles on a sex tape.

“Kim will probably stay single for awhile to see if the show will become a reality,” a source told HollywoodLife.com. “She really hopes the idea takes and the show works out. She’s hoping Ryan will produce it!”

Kim Behind the Wheel

Reps for Kardashian have not commented on this rumor, but Kim doesn't appear in a hurry to reconcile with Reggie. She's all business these days, friends and relatives say.

She’s been spending a lot of time in Miami (see below), while promoting her clothing brand and hanging out with her sisters.

"Just enjoying single life right now," a pal says of Kim.

Still a suspect in his wife's murder, Bruce Beresford-Redman has been released by Mexican authorities.

But a Los Angeles court has granted temporary custody of his children (ages five and three) to the former TV producer's parents. The children will reside with these relatives while police determine if Beresford-Redman played a role in his wife's death.

"My wife and I are grief-stricken at the loss of our beloved daughter-in-law," Bruce's father, David Beresford-Redman, said yesterday. "We know our son loved Monica and would never have harmed her."

That's not what Carla Burgos says, however. She claims Bruce was having an affair and is positive he's responsible for her sister's murder.

Beresford-Redman has been handed over to the U.S. Consolate and taken to an undisclosed location in Mexico.

"He can't leave the country," said Francisco Alor, attorney general for the state of Quintana Roo. "We still can't say that he is responsible, but that's the starting point of the investigation because we have witnesses who say he was the last to see her alive."
