I am a senior staff writer at THG and a big fan of Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Robert Pattinson. I believe Kim Kardashian is bad for society, but great for attention, and that The Real Housewives should all be banned from existence.

And then there were two.

Yes, we know there are actually seven finalists remaining on American Idol - but can anyone envision a scenario in which Crystal Bowersox or Lee DeWyze does NOT take home the title?

We certainly hope not, as this pair is clearly the cream of the season nine crop. Each proved why during last night's edition of the show, based around inspirational singles, putting on performances that brought many in the audience to tears.

We've ranked the top seven in order below. Just imagine a large space between number-two and all the others...

  1. Bowersox: Who needs a guitar?!? With a perfect rendition of "People Get Ready," and with her father in the crowd, Crystal herself couldn't stop from crying. But here's encouraging news for the singer: she's the one to beat.
  2. DeWyze: He took on "The Boxer," a Paul Simon classic. It was a tender performance, one that lived up to the expectations of such a well-known, respected song. Awesome job.
  3. Casey James: Taken on its own, a solid take on "Don't Stop." But this singer sounds the same each week. Nothing stands out at this point, which might actually put Casey in danger of elimination this week.
  4. Siobhan Magnus: She took heat for her ballad of "When You Believe." But who would you rank above her? Still has a great voice and great potential.
  5. Aaron Kelly: It's difficult to get past the cheesy single he chose ("I Believe I Can Fly"), or even the shady persona of the dude who originally sang it (R. Kelly). But this Kelly connected with the audience in an impressive manner.
  6. Tim Urban: We've seen better recent performances from this cutie than his cover of "Better Days." His time might finally be up.
  7. Michael Lynche: Another cheesy ballad, as Big Mike took a big chance with "Hero." His voice just couldn't carry such a tough song choice.

Who was your favorite performer of the night?

  • Bowersox! Bowersox!

On April 30, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon will get married. For the third time.

The first, official ceremony took place in early 2008, and the pair plan on getting married "every year," Nick Cannon told Us Weekly.

"That's our thing," he said.

"It's going to be our third wedding this year," he added. "That's what we'll be doing on the actual [anniversary]...We'll do something...A party or event, just to celebrate."

That seems a little self-serving and egocentric - but, hey, whatever makes the marriage last! At least Cannon isn't banging Las Vegas cocktail waitresses in his spare time.

He'll be too busy shopping for yet another diamond ring to do much of anything, Cannon joked. He confirmed that he gets his wife more bling every year.

"This is the third ring I have to buy... It’ll be something different. Something good."

Who says the economy is bad?!?

Books are all the rage in Hollywood; some dumb, some REALLY dumb, and at least one hopefully inspiring.

Earlier today, we announced that the Kardashian sisters are planning a relationship-themed tome. Insert your own joke now.

Kelly LeBrock, the ex-wife of shady actor Steven Seagal, also plans to exploit her husband's alleged seedy side by penning a biography about the father of her three kids. How charming.

But Susan Boyle is here to rescue us from all this inappropriate madness. She'll tell her own story in The Woman I was Born to Be, a true autobiography due this fall.

Susan Photo

”I think I’ve grown up a lot in the last year, become more of a lady, and I’m not so frightened anymore," she said, adding:

“I’m writing this book to try to show that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, and I hope it will benefit other people. My story demonstrates that you shouldn’t just look at the label, you should look at the whole person, emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually, and I hope that telling it will show that dreams are not impossible, if you’ve got courage and a willingness to go on no matter what the circumstances.”

Amen, SuBo! Will you purchase her self-written tale?

As Mexican authorities continue to gather evdence against Bruce Beresford-Redman in the investigation of his wife's murder, the family of Monica Beresford-Redman has left to collect her body.

They're also seeking answers.

"We want the person that murdered my sister," Jeane Burgos, Monica's sister, told ABC News. "I want this person in jail to pay for the rest of his life for what he did."

Burgos' sister, Carla, has implicated Joy Pierce as Bruce's mistress. She says she's "sure" that Bruce killed her sister.

"I am bleeding inside, because I can't even imagine that I'm not going to have her with me," Jeane said to CBS News. "I'm not going to sleep, and I'm not going to sit down until I bring justice to her life... It was a brutal murder that was committed against my sister."

Enquirer Graphic

The tragic death of Monica Beresford-Redman has become tabloid fodder for The National Enquirer and other gossip rags.

Sources say the family has not yet decided where Monica will be laid to rest; either in Rio de Janeiro, where she was born, or in L.A., where she had lived since 1990.

Though he enjoyed a steady gig on Lost during the show's initial, hugely popular first season, Ian Somerhalder didn't land any magazine features until the fall of 2009.

That's when The Vampire Diaries premiered on The CW and Somerhalder found himself the subject of cat calls and screams typically reserved for Taylor Lautner or Robert Pattinson.

"The decibel level at which a 13-year-old can explain how much she loves you - it's the coolest thing ever," the actor says in the latest issue of GQ.

Why all the excitement over this 32-year old actor? The photos below tell you all you need to know:

Look, Kardashian family: we understand you'll do and say anything for attention. We comprehend the concept of a publicist and of concocting your own feuds and rumors in order to remain relevant.

But can you please leave innocent children out of your self-serving games?!?

Kardashian Klothing Line

Yesterday, over the course of several painful hours, Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick engaged in a pointless, fake public feud that centered around Kourtney and Scott's son, Mason Dash. It started when Kim posted the following photo of her nephew and Tweeted:

Please nobody tell Kourtney I just twittered a pic of Mase, she just might kill me! I just couldn't resist!

On cue, Disick called his quasi sister-in-law out, writing about his baby mama: "She's not going to be pleased."

From there, Kourtney chimed in, clearly being nothing but pleased: "Everyone told on u kim for showing a pic of Mason! At least u r an incredible auntie," she wrote.

Yes, how dare everyone tell on Kim... for posting a photo that went out to her giant base of Twitter followers, including Scott and Kourtney?!?

Let's hope that Mason skips right past crawling and walking and just learns how to sprint. The kid has to make a run for it before it's too late.

A few nights ago, David Archuleta was spotted at a gay club in New York City.

As a result, silly rumors have sprung up all over the Internet, questioning the adorable singer's sexuality. While he wouldn't be ashamed if he were gay, Archuleta has taken to Twitter to clear everything up:

I got invited to go and see my friend Charice perform. Mental note to self: always ask where before you go! Wasn’t my kind of place lol, and I had no clue! I guess you live and learn. The upside was that Charice was awesome, and she has an incredible voice.

Hope that clears things up! Been seeing some of the tweets.. sheesh!

Darn. That's too bad. Who wouldn't love to see Adam Lambert couple up with David Archuleta?!?

Bad news, teenage girls around the world:

If a certain Facebook group gets a few more signatures, Justin Bieber will no longer be a member of the male gender.

As you can see below, someone has started a page that questions whether or not this 16-year old singer deserves to be considered a man. While it doesn't list the qualities that make his masculinity questionable, it's safe to assume that bowl cut sits atop the list...

Facebook Group Photo

Bieber has sky-rocketed to fame over the last few months. His album is number-one on the charts and he's shown no hesitation to take on Miley Cyrus, Disney and anyone that stands in his way.

How will Justin respond to this calling out of his manhood? Likely with a laugh, possibly with a record-number of female a$$ tapping for a guy his age. Anything is possible with Bieber.

He performed at the Juno Awards in Canada over the weekend, and we've posted a few photos from the concert below:

In one of the strangest celebrity gossip stories of the season, Kayden Nguyen has sued Steven Seagal for treating her like a "sex toy."

The model claims she was duped by the actor into thinking she'd be serving as his personal assistant, only for the action star to grope her and request sexual favors from Nguyen.

While this may come as a shock to those of us that memorized every line of Under Siege, Kelly LeBrock, tells TMZ she's "not surprised" by the allegations.

The former model/actress was married to Seagal from 1987 to 1994 and has three kids with him. She says: "I will refrain from saying anything specific now because of our 3 children."

Actually, that's a lie. This is why she'll actually refrain from saying anything specific at the moment:

"I have many shocking things to say about Mr. Seagal which will be known soon when my book comes out."

Good. That should set a solid example of your children.

We didn't think it was possible to get more ridiculous than the Kardashians' relationship book, but LeBrock just proved us wrong.
