I am a senior staff writer at THG and a big fan of Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Robert Pattinson. I believe Kim Kardashian is bad for society, but great for attention, and that The Real Housewives should all be banned from existence.

All the American Idol chatter this morning may be over Pia Toscano and her rendition of "I'll Stand By You," but another semifinalist also assured herself of a spot in the finals with a beautiful ballad cover.

Thia Megia, only 15 years old (and confused over how to prove that, as Ryan Seacrest tried to joke about), delivered a simple version of "Out Here On My Own," a song featured in "Fame."

Do you hear that sound, Jacob Lusk? It's the beautiful voice of Pia Toscano, and it's coming for your title as Early American Idol Favorite.

This 21-year old from New York stood proudly at the microphone during last night's semifinal round and belted out a version of The Pretenders "I'll Stand By You." Finishing with a powerful flourish, she earned the first standing ovation of the season from Steven, J. Lo and Randy.

Charlie Sheen may have gone to sleep last night in the same bed as his goddesses, but he also did so in a household bereft of his children.

That's because a judge granted Brooke Mueller a restraining order yesterday and the police responded by removing two-year olds Bob and Max from their father's home. Sheen may not come within 100 feet of them until a hearing on March 22.

NBC has chosen an unusual time to make the following announcement: Christina Aguilera will join Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine as a judge on The Voice, the network's upcoming response to American Idol.

Just a day after the singer was arrested for being unable to stand up in public, producer Mark Burnett has officially tapped Christina for one of four spots on the judging panel.
