Hilton Hater

I am a senior staff writer at THG and a big fan of Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Robert Pattinson. I believe Kim Kardashian is bad for society, but great for attention, and that The Real Housewives should all be banned from existence.

It's painful, but true: we must give props to Miley Cyrus for both the videos posted below.

First, the singer clearly learned from this incident and handled a confrontation with a photographer in a mature, reasonable manner over the weekend. She pulled her car over; calmly explained to a paparazzi member that he was driving recklessly and the police were on their way; and then returned to her vehicle.

Watch and see what we mean:

Meanwhile, in the following PSA, Miley takes on an even more important cause than putting this loser in his place. She tells fans how they can help her and other celebrities in the fight against breast cancer.

It's worth a minute of your time to find out how.

While American Idol fans across the country worry about whether or not Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler can really fill the void left by Simon Cowell, there's at least one man who's happy that British producer is gone from the judging table:

Nigel Lythgoe.

AI Crew

Lythgoe, who returns this season to take charge of the Fox smash, says the new edition of Idol will feature contestants Cowell never would have let through.

"We've had some incredible country voices. In truth, Simon would have gotten rid of them straight-away because he wasn't a country fan... What you are definitely going to get this season is an American voice and American music."

Last Thursday, Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar stormed off the set of The View after Bill O'Reilly said Muslims attacked us on 9/11 and added that he was against the building of a mosque around the site of the World Trade Center.

He then went on his Fox News program and defended his point of view.

Angry Bill O'Reilly

Now, Goldberg, Behar and other panelists on The View have spoken out again on the feud. Focusing on the controversy this morning, Goldberg said she had no regrets about walking away mid-interview because she "was gonna cuss him out."

Behar, meanwhile, said: "We talk about standing up to bigotry, so I stood up."

For once, though, an old woman was actually the voice of reason, as Barbara Walters chastised Goldberg and Behar for letting O'Reilly "pull your chain" and added: "This is a country full of rage, and we should be able to have conversations without rage... without obscenities."

Sounds like a job for Jon Stewart!

Justin Bieber is looking to turn a negative into a positive.

Although details are still coming in regarding an incident at a Canadian laser tag facility over the weekend, this much we know: Bieber got into a brief confrontation with a 12-year old who harassed the singer and referred to him as a "faggot."

Cute Role Model

While authorities are still interviewing witnesses and won't release the names of any minors involved, TMZ reports that Justin wishes to take a proactive stance on the matter of bullying.

A source tells the celebrity gossip site that Bieber will likely come forward this week and "lend his support to the anti-bullying campaign." At the very least, expect a public service announcement along the lines of recent messages from Adam Lambert, Kim Kardashian and many others.

Even more so than his decision to never cut his hair, this move should have a significant influence on youths across the nation. We applaud Justin for taking a stand.

Set to turn 30 this Thursday, Kim Kardashian is not too old to arrange parties for herself on back-to-back nights in Las Vegas and New York City. That's what she did this weekend, as THG has posted pictures from the former event HERE and the latter below.

But the professional red carpet poser does claim to be at the age where taking off one's clothes for attention and money just feels wrong.

  • Another Birthday Party

  • NYC Bash

  • Being Kim

"I'm too old for that now," Kim told Us Weekly at her NYC bash Saturday night when asked about another nude magazine pictorial. "I wanted to get it all out of my system before I turned 30."

If that was Kardashian's goal, she accomplished it with a spread in Playboy... and in Harper's Bazaar... and in W Magazine...

Let there be no doubt: Joe Jonas and Ashley Greene are very much out of the dating closet.

The pair were first spotted together in August, but refrained from any hand-holding or public displays of affection at the time. Last Thursday night, however? Ashley and Joe dined at Katsuya, a well-known, paparazzi-laden sushi restaurant in Hollywood.

You can't sue someone for being an awful, self-obsessed human being. Fortunately, a Georgia woman has found another reason to take Tyra Banks to court.

As first reported by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Beverly McClendon has sued Banks for $3 million because she alleges her 15-year old daughter appeared on Tyra's talk show without parental permission.

Derek Lowe Mug Shot

McClendon says her child answered an open website call to appear on an episode that centered around sex addiction, as the program's producers invited the minor on without seeking her mother's approval first.

There's so much more to me than who I choose to sleep with. You are so much more than your orientation. Be strong. Pay attention to the positive.

It's hard to imagine a better role model for confused, at-risk youths than Adam Lambert.

This well-spoken, talented singer is unafraid and unashamed to be true to who he is, yet he refuses to simply be labeled as a gay singer. How come?

Because, as Lambert explains in the video below, one's sexual orientation is such a small part of who one actually is. Yes, it gets better, he tells bullied teens around the world... but only if you stay strong, stay focused and never let the ignorant win.

One day, Taylor Swift might appear on Glee.

For now, though, the young singer is making the rounds and promoting her upcoming album in a number of television and print interviews. One of the latest, with Parade Magazine, features Swift opening up about life, love and her biggest fear. Excerpts are below.

On love: Love is fascinating. Wishing for it, pining for it, and the anger that comes when you lose it. I used to think that I could figure out some pattern to love, like if you don’t text a guy back for a half hour, he’ll like you more. But there is no pattern. Absolutely nothing is predictable in love or in life.
