I am a senior staff writer at THG and a big fan of Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Robert Pattinson. I believe Kim Kardashian is bad for society, but great for attention, and that The Real Housewives should all be banned from existence.

Justin Bieber and his family can breathe a sigh of relief today, after the singer's grandparents were involved in a somewhat serious car accident.

According to the Ontario Provincial Police in Perth County, Bieber's maternal grandfather, Bruce, and maternal grandmother, Diane, were driving outside of Toronto when they ran into an icy section of the road and slammed into a ditch. Their car actually rolled over and flipped 360 degrees, landing back on its wheels.

To many Americans, and especially to those behind 30 Rock, Kim Jong-Il was a frightening nut job, a world leader to scoff over and laugh at.

But to thousands of thousands of Pyongyang residents, the man was a national hero, which is why they turned out in droves at Kim's funeral today, crying, screaming and pounding their chests despite frigid weather.

Zac Efron really is all grown up.

The former High School Musical actor will anchor his most mature movie to date in 2012, starring alongside Nicole Kidman, Matthew McConaughey, John Cusack and others in The Paperboy, an upcoming drama based on a 1995 novel by Pete Dexter.

PETA doesn't care that Super Bowl viewers saw a glimpse of Janet Jackson's boob a few years ago.

This irritating organization is far more concerned over the fact that the singer is wearing a fur coat in a new promotional ad for her Blackgama clothing line, as seen here:

The mystery woman has been identified.

According to New York Post sources, the blonde on Jim Carrey's arm over the last few weeks is named Anastasia Vitkina. She's a Russian student in New York and insiders confirm she and the 49-year old actor are quite "hot and heavy" these days.

Through numerous drunk driving arrests, sex tapes, bar fights and, well, the existence of Courtney Stodden, it's easy to forget that celebrities actually do a lot of good.

And the organization DoSomething.org wants to remind people of that: it has released a list of the top 20 most charitable stars in 2011, with Lady Gaga leading the way. This singer is almost as well known for her causes - from her support of gay rights to her fight against AIDS and poverty - as she is for her string of number-one hits.

Acknowledging a few mistakes made on the first season of The X Factor - too much judge bickering, overly involved production numbers - Simon Cowell told People Magazine this week he'll evaluate all aspect of the show for season two and that 2012 will be a "bloodbath."

We assume the producer was talking about the on-air competition, but might he also have been referring to backstage changes on the way?
