I am a senior staff writer at THG and a big fan of Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Robert Pattinson. I believe Kim Kardashian is bad for society, but great for attention, and that The Real Housewives should all be banned from existence.

New details have emerged regarding former Major League Baseball star Manny Ramirez and his arrest yesterday on charges of domestic violence.

According to the police report obtained by TMZ, Manny's wife, Juliana, said her husband "struck her in the left side of the face with an open hand causing her to hit her head against the headboard of the bed" during an argument inside their home.

She then dialed 911 ("Hi, my husband just hit me," the recording of her call says.), but refused medical attention.

Ramirez claims he merely "grabbed" Juliana by the shoulders and she accidentally crashed into the headboard when he "shrugged her."

At a hearing this morning in Broward Country, Manny's bond was set at $2,500 and a judge ordered him against having any contact with his wife until an investigation was complete.

The last team the slugger played for, meanwhile, is not suffering from his absence in the lineup: the Tampa Bay Rays only trail the Boston Red Sox by three games in the chase for the American League Wild Card.

Feud? What feud? Affair? What affair?

Will Smith and Marc Anthony did not look like two men battling over Jada Pinkett Smith last night, as the pair sat together in a luxury box for the Miami Dolphins/New England Patriots Monday night opener. They were joined there by Dwyane Wade:

Go Dolphins!

Anthony has vehemently denied any relationship with Will's wife, while sources say he was the one who invited Smith to hang out at the game. Wade, meanwhile, told pals after the game that Will and Marc really are friends.

As for the contest itself, Gisele's husband, Tom Brady, threw for over 500 yards in a Patriots' victory, while Kim Kardashian's ex, Reggie Bush, scored on a two-yard touchdown pass.

Photos of Taylor Armstrong - taken of the reality star soon after an alleged beating from husband Russell, which Entertainment Tonight teased last month as "graphic and shocking" - have been released.

And they are, indeed, graphic and shocking.

The news program ran a commercial last night for a special that will air this evening, and it featured the following shot of a black-eyed Taylor in the hospital:

It's unclear when this picture was taken, but it was likely the result of a physical confrontation between Taylor and Russell immediately prior to the start of shooting on season two of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Expect more to hit the Web after Entertainment Tonight runs it report this week. But should these pics be made public? You tell us:

Michelle Williams does her best Marilyn Monroe impression on the cover of this month's Vogue. And it's a pretty darn good impression!

Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe

The actress is channeling the icon because she stars in My Week with Marilyn, which opens on November 4 and chronicles Monroe’s life in 1956 while shooting the film The Prince and the Showgirl.

"I knew that I wanted to do it, and then I spent six months trying to talk myself out of it," Williams tells the magazine of the movie. "But I always knew that I never really had a choice. I’ve started to believe that you get the piece of material that you were ready for.”

This issue of Vogue will be available on newsstands on September 20.

Jim Carrey and his band played a gig in New York over the weekend, covering hits by groups such as Smashing Pumpkins and Radiohead.

In related news: Jim Carrey has a band?!? Apparently. Check out his cover of "Creep" now:

The actor hasn't made news for anything movie-related in awhile (Mr. Popper's Penguins? Really?!?), but he's expanding his resume these days to include music and quasi disturbing stalker videos.

We love Emma Stone, too, Jim. But we aren't twice her age and we don't tell the world about what sex might be like with the actress.

Manny Ramirez, the 2004 World Series MVP who retired this year when faced with his second suspension from Major League Baseball due to the use of performance enhancing drugs, has been arrested in Florida.

The incident took place around 7 p.m. EST, as witnesses tell TMZ and other sources that Ramirez was led from his home in Weston in handcuffs and then booked in the Broward Sheriff's Office main jail in Fort Lauderdale,

Ramirez' wife, Juliana, left the house shortly after her husband. Onlookers confirm an altercation of some kind took place inside.

The slugger played for the Cleveland Indians, Chicago White Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays over his career. This gives new, sad meaning to the term "Manny being Manny."

Selena Gomez performed at the Mandalay Bay Event Center at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday night, and it was an apt location.

Why? Because the singer is taking a major gamble with a new tattoo.

Made evident to all when she raised her right hand in the air, Gomez now sports the inked-on name of "Justin," with a heart added on below. Hmmm... we wonder to whom this could be referring. Any ideas, readers?

Selena Gomez Tattoo

In a recent interview, meanwhile, Justin Bieber did not say he wanted to marry Selena, nor did he even mention her by name. But the singer did make it clear that children are in his not-so-distant future.

Are these two moving too quickly? A tattoo is pretty much as permanent as it gets, after all. What do you think? Selena tattooing her boyfriend's name on her wrist is...

UPDATE: Selena's rep confirms this is NOT a real tattoo. Nevertheless, it's a bold, public statement.

Spartacus: Blood and Sand star Andy Whitfield passed away at the age of 39 yesterday, about a year after a recurrence of his Stage 1 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

While thoughtful messages and Tweets pour in from around Hollywood, former co-star Lucy Lawless has released a special statement to Entertainment Weekly that reads:

“Obviously, Andy Whitfield left an indelible mark on all of us in the Spartacus family. He was a gentle man who never said a bad word about anyone, a gifted photographer, engineer (no really!) and a brilliant actor. Andy’s incandescent film presence made men want to be him and women want to marry him. Andy’s  two babies will always know that their Daddy cherished them and their mother, Vashti, above all things. How lucky we were to have him grace all our lives. Godspeed, Andy!”

Ummm... we guess this is hot.

Demi Moore has Tweeted a picture of herself topless, but there's a PG-rated catch: we can't actually see the front of this actress, who included with the photo a caption that reads: "Remember.....you've got your own back."

Demi Moore Topless

Might this seemingly random act be a response to Ashton Kutcher's first promotional photo for Two and a Half Men, for which he poses naked? We'll likely never know the answer.

It's not the first time Demi has Tweeted out a shot of her body, either. There was this bikini pic in September of last year, which, combined with the latest image makes us think Moore needs a new movie role ASAP. She has way too much time on her (admittedly attractive) hands.

Both are involved in heated Fashion Face-Offs at the moment - versus Britt Robertson HERE, and Wilson Bethel HERE - but Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev have taken a few moments to talk openly about their relationship for the first time.

The Vampire Diaries co-stars were outed as a couple this summer, photographed in Paris together, and they each gushed about the other on Saturday night at The CW premiere party in Burbank, CA.

  • Nina Dobrev Photograph

"She truly enjoys life," Somerhalder told Us Weekly of Dobrev, who dates his on-scren brother, Stefan, on the aforementioned (AWESOME!) CW drama. "Her desire to experience and appreciate everything around her, and chuckle and enjoy it, is great."
