I am a senior staff writer at THG and a big fan of Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Robert Pattinson. I believe Kim Kardashian is bad for society, but great for attention, and that The Real Housewives should all be banned from existence.

Melanie Amaro is no stranger to Michael Jackson.

During an X Factor theme night that honored this iconic artist - someone Amaro had previously covered this season via "Man in the Mirror" and "Will You Be There?" - the top contender for this competition's crown brought the crowd to its feet with her version of "Earth Song."

"I forgot that we were in a competition and I thought we were in a Melanie concert," LA Reid said in response to the performance, while Simon Cowell kept his praise short, sweet and accurate: You were amazing, he told his charge.

Chris Rene made a passionate plea to X Factor viewers last night, on an evening when the top seven contestants covered classic by Michael Jackson:

Just call his name, people, and Rene will be there.

The singer/rapper most definitely put his own spin on this MJ single, rapping various parts of it (the parts Simon Cowell liked best) and being told by LA Reid that he's "the truth." Paula, meanwhile, told Chris that he manifests "in abundance in the heart department."

That's gotta be a good thing, right?

This is sort of becoming Drew Ryniewicz's thing.

Two weeks after slowing down a U2 classic, the 14-year old X Factor finalist did the same for Michael Jackson's iconic "Billie Jean." She never even stood up from her seat on a chair, earning praise from Paula Abdul that it was her "best vocal performance" to date.

Do you agree? Watch Drew sing a version of this track similar to one put on by David Cook during his winning American Idol season. Not bad company to be compared to, is it? Ryniewicz has a series shot at joining Cook as a reality show champion...

Near the end of every year, Barbara Walters airs her Most Fascinating People feature on ABC.

And every year the list is more and more ridiculous (in 2010, David Petraeus topped a group that included the Jersey Shore cast), simply a rundown of who has been in the news, as opposed to rankings of individuals who are actually interesting.

2011 is no different, as the journalist has revealed nine of her final 10, saving the number-one spot for viewers of her December 14 special. Let's take a look at the finalists, shall we?

Barbara Walters and the Kardashians

Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney Kardashian: They marry, procreate and Tweet for money. Their total and complete lack of personality is kind of fascinating, we guess.

Simon Cowell: One of the world's most successful music executives. Wears tight t-shirts. Speaks his mind.

Derek Jeter: Perhaps the most boring, least fascinating athlete on the planet. He plays very hard, is respectful of the game and, by all accounts, is a very nice guy. Does any of that make him an especially interesting individual?

Donald Trump: Okay, his hair is pretty fascinating.

Katy Perry: She sings fun pop ballads and wears weird outfits. Is anyone fascinated by the artist herself? Or do you just wanna bop around to "Last Friday Night?"

Pippa Middleton: Acceptable. The public is clearly fascinated by her and for good reason. Total cutie alert!

Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson: They are actors who portray a gay couple. How fascinating, right?!? Think it's a coincidence they also star on an ABC show?

So... who will be number-one? Our vote is for Lady Gaga. How about yours?

007? More like 00-Awesome!

In a new interview with Great Britain's GQ, Daniel Craig - an actor notorious for his privacy, who secretly wed Rachel Weisz in front of four people in NYC - goes off on reality TV stars in general, saying of their hypocrisy:

"You can't buy your privacy back. Ooh I want to be alone. F-ck you. We've been in your living room. We were at your birth. You filmed it for us and showed us the placenta and now you want some privacy?"

  • Daniel Craig British GQ Cover
  • Kardashian Sisters on Glamour

In case it wasn't clear to whom he was referring exactly, Craig then specifically zeroed in on the Kardashians:

"They're worth millions. I don't think they were that badly off to begin with, but now look at them. You see that and you think 'what, you mean all I have to do is behave like a f---ing idiot on television and then you'll pay me millions.'"

He hilariously concluded: "I'm not judging it - well, I am obviously."

Preach on, Daniel! Especially during a week that has already given us the world's most pathetic pity party from Kim; and the latest money-making venture from Kourtney.

A new, anonymous accuser has stepped forward and released a statement that alleges prolonged abuse at the hands of Jerry Sandusky.

In a letter, the man - referred to at the moment as John Doe, and not one of the eight victims named in the grand jury report that led to an indictment of the former Penn State defensive coordinator on 40 counts of sexual abuse - says he met Sandusky through his Second Mile charity and cites over 100 inappropriate incidents between 1992 and 1996.

"I don’t want other kids to be hurt and abused by Jerry Sandusky or anybody like Penn State to allow people like him to do it—rape kids!" the statement reads. "I never told anybody what he did to me over 100 times at all kinds of places until the newspapers reported that he had abused other kids and the people at Penn State and Second Mile didn’t do the things they should have to protect me and the other kids."

This alleged victim is now 29 years old, says Sandusky threatened him with violence if he ever came forward and has filed a lawsuit against the disgraced ex coach.

Kellan Lutz is challenging a prevailing theory among Twihards around the globe: does the muscle-bound hunk look good in anything?

The Breaking Dawn star took to Twitter yesterday and asked: "Movember equals Mohawk month, right?" He then proceeded to post a photo of his new hairstyle, one with just a little bit taken off both sides:

Kellan Lutz with a Mohawk

"Out with the old and in with the new!" the 26-year-old star added. "Goodbye dark hair. It's been fun."

But was this a wise decision for the actor? Sound off now: What do you think of Kellan Lutz with a mohawk?

Kris Humphries can finally relate to the rest of America: a new report states this reality star is hoping to pretend that his marriage to Kim Kardashian never existed.

According to People, rumors that Humphries is reluctant to sign divorce papers are actually true. An insider claims Kris is planning to file the necessary paper work that would annul the union, thereby clearing the record of his marriage to the giant-breasted professional celebrity.

The procedure of annulment is typically reserved for cases where the couple can reasonably claim the marriage ought to be retroactively invalidated. A common argument used in these instances? That alcohol played a major role in an impromptu wedding. (See Spears, Britney and Alexander, Jason).

Other legal grounds for an annulment include incest, forced consent, fraud... wait, might Kris Humphries be planning to make a court-documented case that this marriage should be voided because it was a scheme all along to defraud the public?!?

He would be a true American hero if so.

UPDATE: Yes, Kris has filed for an annulment and, yes, the petition is based on Kim "defrauding" him into a marriage that was meant solely for the purposes of her reality show, a fact he claims he was never made aware of. This is awesome!

Miley Cyrus - who is NOT a pothead, people! - has shown musical support for Occupy Wall Street by posting a video (below) that praises the protestors for standing up for a cause in which they believe.

But this gesture isn't enough for Priscilla Grim.

The co-editor of "The Occupied Wall Street Journal," one of the cause's most public advocates, tells TMZ that she'd love to see Cyrus actually attend one of the movement's public events.

"I double dog dare [her] to fight on the front line of economic civil rights at LA City Hall," says Grim, adding: "Revolutionaries occupy, Ms. Cyrus."

Sheesh, Mr. Grim. At least Miley has come out and said something about the plight of the 99 percent. She and Third Eye Blind - a band that apparently still exists - have taken more steps than most celebrities in this regard. Give the girl a break.
