I am a senior staff writer at THG and a big fan of Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Robert Pattinson. I believe Kim Kardashian is bad for society, but great for attention, and that The Real Housewives should all be banned from existence.

In what should clearly be considered a national holiday - nay, an international holiday! - Kim Kardashian turns 31 today.

This set of large breasts recently returned from Dubai, and ran straight into a tabloid deluge of divorce rumors. Are she and husband Kris Humphries on the outs? Is this simply planted fodder for her upcoming reality show? And did you even know Kim was married? The ceremony was kept very much on the down low.

It's been another incredible year for Kardashian, as she's expanded her empire and yet somehow remained less charismatic than ever. That's an impressive feat and it currently, tragically places Kim as the leading contender for THG Celebrity of the Year. Check back in December for those rankings and click through the following tabloid montage in honor of this birthday girl now...

Art meets reality in a new ad for Nikon. Or maybe it's the other way around. Either way: Ashton Kutcher is a dog!

While details of his alleged affair with Sara Leal continue to leak out, highlighted by the rumor that he spent time in a hot tub and a hotel room with this 22-year old and a few other women, the latest commercial for this camera company features Kutcher... a hotel room... and various women!

The spot was filmed long before Ashton's supposed infidelity took place, but still. Talk about prescient, and sort of questionable. Should Nikon remove the ads, which are getting heavy play during the World Series?

Why would anyone purchase a product from Kutcher these days, especially one pitched in such an eerily realistic manner?

Detroit Lions running back Jerome Harrison was nearly dealt to the Philadelphia Eagles this week, but the trade was voided when Harrison failed a physical...

... that may have saved his life.

Jerome Harrison Pic

Sources tell ESPN that Philadelphia doctors discovered a brain tumor while evaluating the player. It's considered treatable and Harrison - who will not play again this season - will visit more physicians this week.

The trade would have sent Ronnie Brown to Detroit to take over in the backfield for injured Jahvid Best. Now, the Lions are left with neither Harrison nor Brown as they face a stiff test at home Sunday against the Falcons.

But the tumor would have remained undetected if not for this physical on Harrison, meaning this is one trade that has a winner outside of the playing field.

It needs to be said again: Looper is seriously on!

Following another public sighting of Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lopez, Us Weekly quotes sources who say these two are engaged in more than just a fling.

A Secret Romance?

The actor is "really trying to woo Jennifer in a big way. He has been after Jennifer, calling her, for ages," claims an insider, while another adds: "They've been talking on the phone and texting a lot."

Part one of the Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion special last Sunday night was so contentious, it was almost as if cast members had been told what to say and how to act. That's totally ridiculous, of course, we know.

The harshest exchanges took place between Caroline Manzo and Teresa Giudice, as the former went after the latter's marriage and financial woes, among other topics. Does Caroline have any regrets?

A Real Housewives Reunion

Not really. In a new blog entry, Manzo says the experience was "miserable," but "I was telling the truth... I couldn't hide my feelings. I didn't see why I should at this point."

Among specific topics addressed by Caroline online:

We hate to say it, but the facts speak for themselves: the solo career of Joe Jonas is off to an abysmal start.

In its first week of sales, Joe's first-ever solo album, "Fastlife," sold just 18,000 copies, landing him in 15th place on the Billboard 200. By comparison, the last CD Jonas compiled with his brothers, "A Little Bit Longer," moved 525,000 copies in the same time period. Ouch.

Nick Jonas, meanwhile, also jumped into a solo career last year (with his band, The Administration, that is) and sold 82,000 copies of "Who I Am." Double ouch.

"Transforming a charmed teenhood career into a viable adult one is possibly one of the entertainment industry's most difficult feats," wrote Julianne Escobedo Shepherd in Billboard last week. "For every Justin Timberlake, there are 10 former boy-band members whose post-group disinterest led them to hang up their hats."

Can Joe rebound from this rough opening week? Or will we next see him on stage with his siblings? Stay tuned, THGers. Stay tuned.

Attention, Beliebers: Justin Bieber, and free speech advocates everywhere, need your help.

The 17-year old star is at the center of a campaign - aptly titled Free Justin Bieber - initiated by Fight for the Future, a fair-use advocacy group that's urging citizens to vote against congressional law S.978.

What the heck is congressional law S.978?

Justin Bieber in Jail

It's a rule that would make it illegal for individuals to stream/use copyrighted music in an online video. And where does Bieber come into this debate?

He was discovered by Usher via a homemade YouTube video of himself covering a handful of R&B hits. If this law is passed, such an act might result in a prison stint. Instead of a record deal.

"Tell Congress to get a clue and stop trying to jail people for singing," the organization says in a statement, asking folks to sign its online petition. "Congress has no business making ordinary Internet users criminals for expressing themselves online."

Seriously. Under this law, five-year old Sophia Grace Brownlee would be a criminal.

The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Texas Rangers in game one of the World Series by a score of 3-2 last night.

But country music fans were the true winners, as American Idol champion Scotty McCreery opened the Fall Classic with a performance of the Star-Spangled banner. With an album currently in the top five on the Billboard 200, life is pretty good for this young, rising star.
