I am a senior staff writer at THG and a big fan of Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Robert Pattinson. I believe Kim Kardashian is bad for society, but great for attention, and that The Real Housewives should all be banned from existence.

Say this for Eddie Murphy: he couldn't be worse than last year's hosts.

Sources tell Deadline that the Academy Awards braintrust will meet this Tuesday to consider the man or woman who will emcee Hollywood's biggest night in 2012 and producer Brett Ratner will start with one name atop his list: Murphy.

“Nobody knows movies better or is a bigger cinephile than Eddie," a source says. "Eddie can quote scenes from every single movie word for word. He can bring all that experience to hosting."

Oprah has also reportedly been under consideration.

Do you wanna see Eddie Murphy host the Oscars?

In the face of growing criticism - Dr. Keith Ablow says parents should keep their kids away from Dancing with the Stars, while OneMillionMoms dot com says "Christians should not watch" - Chaz Bono is not phased.

Instead, the controversial cast member sounds inspired.

Chaz Hate

The backlash has "made me realize I'm really glad I'm doing this, because America really needs to see this," Bono told ABC News. "It just kind of shows why for me it's important to be on the show because so little still is known about what it means to be transgender. And there's so many just completely inaccurate stereotypes and thoughts that people have."

Following an offseason as tumultuous and tragic as it can get for a reality show, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is back.

This Bravo franchise returns with a second season tomorrow night, and viewers can look forward to the usual mind-numbing, self-involved idiocy from women who have nothing to offer the world but complaints about their extravagant lifestyle.

Case in point, this clip from the premiere, in which the controversy stems from a dog lapping up water from a $550 glass. Talk about exciting, worthwhile television!

Katt Williams wants to make one thing clear: he is not sorry.

The comedian got into it with a fan at a gig in Phoenix last week, telling the man "this ain’t Mexico. It used to be Mexico [expletive] and now it’s Phoenix... Do you remember when white people used to say 'Go back to Africa,' and we'd have to tell them we don't want to? So if you love Mexico, [expletive], get the [expletive] over there!"

It appeared as if Williams was contrite for this outburst soon after it was made public, but he tells CNN an apology was penned by his publicist and was simply "for the Tracy Morgans of the world," referring to that actor's response to his own stand-up scandal in June.

"I don't think I need to apologize for being pro-American," Williams says.

Isn't it nice to have the Kim Kardashian sex tape back in the news?

A week after Vivid Entertainment Chairman Steve Hirsch said a mysterious buyer had contacted him about purchasing the basis for Kardashian's fame, the reality star's former lover/director has made it clear:

Go ahead and sell the rights, Vivid. Just give me a cut!

Kim Kardashian Sex Tape, Uncut

In a letter from Ray J's attorney to Vivid, obtained by TMZ, the artist claims he "has partial copyright ownership in the video" and "any attempts to transfer the copyright outside of these parameters will result in filing a motion with the courts to seen an injunction of any sale until Ray J's rights are protected."

Hilariously, in something that's not at all a negotiating ploy, the lawyer adds that Ray J's reputation has been damaged by the video and "no amount of money can relieve him from this nightmare."

Hmmm... but we thought Mr. J was not tripping over it?

Will you be seeing a movie on this holiday weekend? Before you shell out big bucks for tickets, soda and Sour Patch Kids, consider the following advice from our friends at Movie Fanatic.

First up: Apollo 18. The film is meant to explain why America stopped going to the moon after 17 missions. The answer? "Lost" footage from the 18th mission that is downright scary! But is it really? At times.

"Audiences are given enough information to keep the story moving, but because of plot holes, too many questions are left unanswered and hamper the film’s effort to be taken seriously," writes the site. Visit it now to read the complete Apollo 18 review.

Then, there's Shark Night 3D. Does it have bite?

Not exactly, critiques Movie Fanatic: " It simply makes no sense in any realm or reality -- cinematic suspension of disbelief or not."

Ouch. Read the complete Shark Night 3D review, which implies one should fear this film more than it makes one fear the water.

Have we found the next Rebecca Black?

Benni Cinkle, 14, actually appears in Black's infamous music video for "Friday" (as a dancer dressed in pink) and now she's taking the same route as her fellow young crooner, releasing her very own inspiring single.

It's titled "Can You See Me Now" and Cinkle says of the lyrics:

"Right now it’s mostly getting the message out and helping the kids. I want my message to be for anyone that is alone or feels like they cannot be themselves that it does not have to be that way. I know it’s said over and over but I believe that everybody is beautiful."

To her credit, Benni's website (ThatGirlInPink dot org) is meant to assist teens who are suffering from bullying or abuse.

What do you think of the song above?
