Looks like Arizona Cardinals quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Matt Leinart and oily heir Brandon "Greasy Bear" Davis have a lot in common.

And we're not even talking about the fact that Matt has likely hooked up with Brandon Davis' BFF, Paris Hilton. We're talking about sweating. Hard.

Matt Leinart and Brandon Davis: Kindred, greasy spirits?

We're going to have to go with Matt Leinart, although this image of him all sweaty in a club isn't likely to help in his nasty custody fight with Brynn Cameron. The USC basketball player and mother of his son, Cole, adamantly disapproves of his party-boy lifestyle.

As for Brandon Davis, well, he's gross. But at least this isn't a picture of brother Jason Davis, a.k.a. Gummi Bear. We're grateful that the latter bear is in no way part of a story on our site today. For once. Although that is subject to change if TMZ posts any pictures of him.

Contrary to a report in yesterday's New York Post, train wreck Britney Spears has not nixed plans to record a duet with her ex-boyfriend, Justin Timberlake.

In fact, a source close to Britney tells Us Weekly that no such plan existed.

According to the source, "There have been absolutely no plans for Britney and Justin to record a duet together."

For once, we believe the Britney Spears source. There's no way Timberlake would risk his reputation as a serious musician by agreeing to record with this nut job.

"There have been lots of discussions about who Britney is working with, and Justin has not been one of them," the source says. "Nothing with Justin Timberlake was ever even discussed. Justin has had no time to do it between planning his HBO special, his own Video Music Awards stuff and working with Madonna."

Meanwhile, a source also clarifies the Page Six claims about Spears' record label, Jive, and their concerns about Spears and her insane actions in recent months.

"Jive is still supportive of Britney and has no doubt she will deliver when the time comes. They are invested in her but obviously a little nervous for the performance because nobody exactly knows what she is going to do. She is working feverishly to pull it off. Jive just can't wait until they have music to play for people to show them what Britney has actually done."

Don't hold your breath, Jive.

We're curious as to how frolicking topless in the pool with Matt Encinias, possibly engaging in a lesbian romp with Shannon Funk or getting her freak on with Criss Angel signifies "working," but it's clear Spears is doing some things feverishly, at least.

Count this celebrity news site among those tuning in to the MTV VMAs September 9 to see the fallen star in action. Or to learn she bailed at the last second.

There's another illegitimate, NFL celebrity baby ready to give you a run for your (cute) money.

Actress Bridget Moynahan finally gave birth to her baby boy Wednesday in Los Angeles. A rep for the actress reports that "both mother and baby are doing well."

No word on the little guy's name, weight or whether he can evade a weak-side blitz.

The baby's father, of course, is New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who Moynahan dated for three years prior to breaking up in late 2006.

Since the breakup, Brady has been seeing supermodel Gisele Bundchen.

Though it's unclear whether Brady, 30, was present at the birth, he was not at Patriots practice today, and was spotted at an L.A. hospital, carrying flowers. Aww.

In a recent interview with the AP, Tom Brady said he hoped he'd be able to take time off for the birth, though he suspected his schedule and coach might nix that.

"I wish I [knew when the baby will be born]," he told reporters. "That's God's decision. The good lord is making that call. So I think everybody's anxious. I'll put it that way."

Six Degrees star Bridget Moynahan, 36, announced she was pregnant back in February, allegedly surprising her three-time Super Bowl champion ex.

A friend of Tom Brady said at the time: "He's disappointed this is how she's decided to play it. She announced it to make him look like a jerk."

Meanwhile, his official statement read, "Tom and his family are excited about the pregnancy, and want to thank everyone who has shown support."

Hayden Panettiere celebrated her 18th birthday Tuesday in a big, important way ... by registering to vote at the Declare Yourself offices in Beverly Hills!  

Oh, and Hayden Panettiere also held a large birthday bash.

The actress and 75 friends and family partied at LG House in Malibu. On hand to help Hayden drink Diet Cokes were Stephen Colletti (Hayden's oh-so-lucky boyfriend of a year), BFF Rumer Willis and random family hanger-on Mario Lopez.

Also present were Heroes co-stars Adrian Pasdar (and wife Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks), Milo Ventimiglia, Greg Grunberg, Zachary Quinto, and Kristen Bell.

The food was Italian with pasta and Japanese with different types of sushi and rolls. The red velvet cake said (wait for it) "Happy Birthday, Hayden!" Fitting.

Having just turned 18, we suppose it's acceptable that Hayden Panettiere needs some blowing lessons. It took her five tries to get all those candles out!

Nicole Richie was spotted yesterday afternoon in Westwood, and let us be the first to tell you that the anorexic waste has finally put on a couple of pounds!

Of course, it took a fetus growing in her for that to happen.

The worthless mother to be is no longer hiding her four-month baby bump, that's for sure. Check out this pic of her in a gray, stretchy dress with black sweater, accentuating the little spawn of Joel Madden nestled all up in that anemic ass womb. 

Joel Madden, Nicole Richie's beau and baby daddy, apparently proposed last week to the soon-to-be incarcerated mama. Though he hasn't said so publicly.

We don't intend on asking him, either. As Spencer Pratt recently learned the hard way, talk smack about Nicole and Joel will walk over at the club beat your ass.

As for the status of her pregnancy, we're optimistic... well, at least a little, after Nicole revealed to Diane Sawyer that since getting knocked up, she learned to "just say no." Phew.

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is looking to call a time out ... and not because of the team's preseason offensive struggles.

No, he's seeking time away from the team as he awaits the birth of his first child with his former girlfriend, Bridget Moynahan.

Will he get it?

"I hope so," Brady said Monday, noting that he'll need the approval of coach Bill Belichick in the face of the Patriots' very busy schedule.

"Bill has a lot to say, so we'll deal with it when it happens."

On Friday, Brady is due to play Carolina in the third of four boring exhibition games, with the Pats' first regular season game on September 9 against the N.Y. Jets.

According to People, Brady declined to answer when asked if Moynahan will deliver the child before the Jets game. This may be because Tom Brady is not God.

But the Super Bowl-winning signal caller, who is now dating Gisele Bündchen, says he is eagerly awaiting the call in which he learns he's officially a dad.

"I think everybody's anxious," Tom Brady said, smiling. "I'll put it that way."

When asked if he jumps every time the phone rings, he added, "It's stuff that's very private and it's my family... it won't be hard to figure out when it happens."

As for asking for time off, he said: "Certainly, a lot of people make sacrifices for family, and I'm dealing with a certain situation, a very joyous, happy situation. Some people have dealt with death in the past, and that's incredibly difficult."

Chimed in Belichick: "Personal situations are all talked about and dealt with on an individual basis. It doesn't matter who the player is. There are plenty that have come up through the course of the year. I'll deal with them like I do all of them."

No word on whether Alex Rodriguez has asked for time away from the New York Yankees so that he may hit up strip joints with Joslyn Noel Morse.

Let the record show that not every celebrity couple is like Diddy and Kim Porter.

Some are wedded in bliss with no rumors of cheating or signs of turmoil on the horizon.

Despite what recent celebrity news reports have indicated, Motocross star Carey Hart is ready to shoot down reports that his marriage to Pink is on the rocks.

The reports are "just a bunch of trash talk," Hart tells the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

"It's just nasty [celebrity gossip]. Everything's fine."

Carey Hart, who owns a tattoo parlor in the Palms Hotel and Casino, says he's even leaving for Europe.

The reason? To join his pop-star wife on tour.

Pink, who has gone off in her songs on everyone from Jessica Simpson to George W. Bush to random dudes spilling drinks on her at clubs, could not be reached for comment.

Hart and Pink, whose real name is Alecia Moore, met at the 2001 X Games (obviously) and got married in Costa Rica in January 2006.

Here's hoping for nothing but happiness for this odd singer and Carey Hart, who apparently exists, and has apparently married to her for 18 months.

Britney Spears is "sick" and "crazy."

We know, we know. That's not news.

But what's interesting is that in this case, such taunts are being lobbed at Spears from reputable music business insiders.

Yes, the "singer" reportedly ditched an opportunity to do a duet single with former flame - and current mogul - Justin Timberlake.

The New York Post reports that Justin wrote a song specifically for Brit, and that her label, Jive, was counting on the tune to jump start a comeback for the train wreck.

The duet, to be produced by hit-maker Timbaland at his studio in Virginia Beach, may have started a big comeback for Spears, who peaked before two marriages and two kids.

But just before she was supposed to fly out to record the song, Britney Spears - as has become her custom - reportedly "abruptly canceled the session."

Perhaps she was too busy getting her (mind) freak on with Criss Angel?

Britney Spears + Criss Angel = Spangel ? Angelears ?

A music "insider" tells the New York Post, "Everyone is worried ... People like her are sick. It's like an anorexic who's sick in the head and needs help."

Or... someone who's bonkers! Anorexia of the brain? There are actual mental problems, you know. Like depression? Come on, music "insider."

Jive is reportedly still standing behind Britney, but its execs there are "worried" about her bombing at the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards.

Reps for Justin Timberlake had no comment.

Brody Jenner (of course) celebrated his birthday in Las Vegas at PURE this weekend, and he had his TV pals from The Hills in tow. Such luminaries!

One would think that by now, police would've gotten the whole routine of arresting Pete Doherty down.

Then again, one would also think that the LAPD wouldn't ruin an air-tight case by trying to frame a guilty O.J. Simpson. But that's neither here nor there. Nor this century.

Anyway, Doherty, Kate Moss' ex-boytoy, got off yesterday. At the hands of a judge.

Police somehow couldn't get him in front of a judge within 24 hours of his arrest on suspicion of drug possession, thus denying his right to a speedy trial.

The "singer" had been arrested around 2:30 AM Monday, after performing with his band Babyshambles at a festival. But, according to reports, Judge Susan Williams had to set Doherty free, saying:

"Anyone arrested for a breach of bail must be brought before the court and dealt with in a 24-hour period."

This guy beats the rap more than Coley Laffoon beats... forget it.

Of course, Pete Doherty escaped big trouble several times before, having been threatened with jail less than two weeks ago.

It's unclear how his recent arrest will affect that case, in which he admitted driving illegally with crack, heroin, ketamine and pot.

He's definitely leading Jason Wahler on The Hollywood Gossip's arrest watch, and we expect him to be back behind bars by September 1.
