We highly doubt the legitimacy of this Star Magazine story, but it's simply too good / funny not to at least share with our celebrity gossip readers.

The latest whispers in the Jamie Lynn Spears pregnancy drama indicate that Jamie's on/off boyfriend, Casey Aldridge, is not the father of her baby.

Star claims that the underage "sperm donation" honors, so to speak, may in fact belong to someone she knows in a slightly more professional capacity.

Sources tell the magazine that an executive on 16-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears' Nickelodeon TV show, Zoey 101, is the real father.

The exec is believed, of course, to be much older than the teenage mother, and could face statutory rape charges if the rumors turn out to be true.

Casey Aldridge, at 18 and less than two years older than Jamie Lynn Spears, is off the hook from a legal standpoint if he is, in fact, the guy who put a baby in that.

Jamie Lynn Spears' alleged boyfriend has been keeping a low profile ever since the dramatic pregnancy news broke, and insiders believe there's a reason for that.

Star insists Casey Aldridge has been paid off to be the Spears family's fall guy while the identity of the real father of Jamie Lynn Spears' baby remains a mystery.

"The man many people close to the family suspect is the father, however, would face charges and very possibly prison time if he were to come forward and admit that he had sex with Jamie Lynn Spears," a Star source claims.

After her arrest early yesterday, Mischa Barton has been formally charged with misdemeanor DUI, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana, according to Los Angeles Sheriff's Deputy Sgt. John Hocking.

The skinny actress, 21, who was pulled over around 3 a.m., has been ordered to appear in Beverly Hills, Calif., Court for arraignment on February 28, 2008.

The cops spotted Mischa Barton straddling two lanes of traffic and failing to signal while making a turn. Barton was arrested after being stopped by police and failing a field sobriety test, and subsequently held in custody on $10,000 bail.

Police released Barton around 10:05 a.m. Thursday. Her mother picked her up in a black Mercedes and carried Mischa's paperwork. The former star of The OC left the station with arms crossed, and face covered with a scarf. She tried to lay down in the back of the car. She was given a police escort so nobody would follow her.

You heard it here first, yesterday afternoon, even though we weren't 100 percent sure it was more than celebrity gossip at the time - Jessica Alba is engaged!

The actress, 26, is set to marry longtime boyfriend Cash Warren.

"Yes, I can confirm that they are engaged," her rep confirmed.

Jessica Alba flashed a HUGE engagement ring during a December 26 outing in West Hollywood, leading celebrity news sites like this one to assume Cash had popped the question. Jessica is three months pregnant with their first child.

For a fella who dates - then knocks up, then gets engaged to - one of the hottest women on Earth, relatively little is known about Cash Warren. His IMDB page lists him as a graduate of Crossroads School in Santa Monica, Calif., and Yale University.

The Hollywood Gossip recently learned that he is a longtime friend of Baron Davis, who plays for the NBA's Golden State Warriors. Hence the Warriors #5 on his cap in the first photo below. In any case, Jessica Alba and Cash Warren, 28, had split up in July after more than two years together, only to reunite in August or September.

Although the engagement is so on, their wedding might have to wait until after Jessica Alba gives birth. The reason? An obvious one.

A source recently said, "She doesn't want to be pregnant in a dress!"

It's easy to forget - given the witness tampering / bribery / public meltdowns / jailhouse drug smuggling they've been involved in - that Amy Winehouse and Blake Fielder-Civil were busted in Norway back in October for drug possession.

It seems so minor now, but word on the street has it that the six-time Grammy Award nominee has to drag her beehive all the way there to appear in court this February, after the court there ruled the case cannot be tried without her present.

Said a rep for Amy Winehouse: "The Gulating court (in Bergen) sent us a letter dated December 18, 2007, stating that ... this case cannot be tried in absentia."

Winehouse reportedly claims she was tricked by the Norwegian police into signing a confession. Man, those damn Norwegians can be so tricky if you aren't careful.

Now that she's not visiting Blake Fielder-Civil in jail for the time being, at least her schedule is wide open. On the flip side, the chances of Amy making it to February without being jailed or overdosing in the UK? Not necessarily a sure bet!

Chace Crawford is crazy about Carrie Underwood.

Apparently, so is the Dallas native's entire family.

"His whole family loves her," a friend of Chace Crawford and Carrie Underwood tells Us Weekly. "They are really perfect for each other."

How close are the adorable Idol / Gossip Girl duo of six months - who started dating in July but didn't go public until October, and are still pretty coy about it?

After the fourth season American Idol winner and Oklahoma native, 24, spent Thanksgiving with the Gossip Girl hottie, 22, at his parents' home in Texas, she joined his relatives on part of her Christmas vacation as well.

"They spent Christmas together and had a wonderful time," a source says. "His parents are fond of her and think she's extremely talented. And they certainly believe Carrie Crawford would be a great addition to the family!"

Carrie Underwood, meanwhile, has no regrets about her July split from Tony Romo, the Dallas Cowboys star who is now dating Jessica Simpson.

"She thanks her lucky stars she isn't with Tony anymore!" added the insider Us source. "She thinks it's a joke he's with Jessica Simpson and sees him as a player. Carrie and Chace call him 'the player' and Jessica 'the ditz.'"

Jessica Alba recently announced she's pregnant, but she didn't say anything about an engagement. We just assumed Jessica Alba wasn't engaged to Cash Warren for that reason - but then we got ahold of this photo! Is that an engagement ring?

Now, our staff writers are no geniuses when it comes to celebrities being engaged, but that is Jessica Alba's left hand and ring finger we're talking about here - and that's gotta be at least a three- or four-carat rock resting squarely on it.

Did Cash Warren make an honest woman out of Jessica? Or is this just some extra bling she had kicking around? Guess we'll have to wait for official confirmation to see if these two are really engaged - but you heard this celebrity gossip here first!

Rumors are running rampant that someone got Jennifer Aniston pregnant.

The National Enquirer reported earlier this week that Aniston, 38, is expecting and speculated that the father could be either Vince Vaughn, Paul Sculfor or former Sex and the City hunk / Rosario Dawson boyfriend Jason Lewis.

Evidently Steve Bing was not in the running to knock Jen up. Our bets would have to be on Paul Sculfor, her sometime boyfriend throughout 2007 who was the subject of rumors involving a pregnant Jennifer Aniston way back in July.

But according to Jennifer's PR rep, who denies it, we can leave the baby making to Jamie Lynn Spears, Jessica Alba and Jessica Sierra, not Jennifer Aniston.

"Jennifer is not pregnant," the rep said.

And it's a good thing, too: An eyewitness reports that the former Friends star not only got her hair colored, but sipped a martini at a Christmas Eve dinner with her pals, Courteney Cox and David Arquette, at Mastro's in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Jennifer Aniston photos such as the one above show the star "is in a great mood," a source on the scene tells Us Weekly, despite not having a date and "leaving alone" after the Christmas dinner. "There's no drama, and that's why she's happy!"

Mischa Barton remains in custody following her DUI arrest, but more details have emerged as to how and why the 21-year-old celebrity was taken into custody.

According to a press release issued earlier this morning by the L.A. County Sheriffs Department, the former star of The OC was pulled over early this morning around 2:45 a.m. this morning as she was driving around West Hollywood, Calif.

Police report that Mischa Barton was driving erratically and "was seen straddling two lanes of traffic and failed to signal when making a turn." When deputies pulled the actress over, they determined that she "was an unlicensed driver and was driving while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage."

Mischa Barton is still in custody, being held on $10,000 bail.

The L.A. County Sheriffs' Inmate Information site mistakenly refers to her as "Mischa Burton." Celebrity news site TMZ reports that Mischa Barton is "very cooperative" and "no trouble at all." So she's a well-behaved anorexic train wreck at least.

In May, the actress was rushed to the hospital after mixing antibiotics and - as she herself put it - a "sâ€"tload" of alcohol. Her younger sister, Hania Barton, entered rehab earlier this year at the age of 19 for addiction to painkillers.

UPDATE: An embarrassed Mischa Barton is now free on bail, having been picked up by her folks. The star stayed well-hidden as she left the the West Hollywood Sheriff's station at 10:10 a.m. PST in the back seat of her parents' Mercedes.

Cuties Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens have been on serious a roll lately, shopping until dropping - before and after the big Christmas holiday.

With Zac Efron nowhere in sight (unfortunately for us fans), it looks like this shopping binge is a ladies-only affair. Blackberries are permitted, of course.
