You'll forgive Ann Curry for not caring a whole lot about what her NBC bosses think.

The former Today Show host made her first live appearance on screen last night since her controversial firing, hosting the Nightly News for Brian Williams.

And while fans were psyched to see the return of this former co-host, they were also taken aback by her new haircut. As were network producers, apparently.

"Ann was always told by her bosses that her hair had to be long, and she just didn’t like to wear it at that length," an insider tells The Daily Mail. "She is a no-fuss gal, and doesn't want to spend a ton of time styling her hair. [So] she just decided to cut it."

After a speech that saw a surprised President Obama heckled by an anti-war, anti-drone, and anti-Gitmo activist, the Internet was the big winner.

As Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin interrupted and harassed the POTUS during his speech on Thursday, Obama repeatedly told her:

"Let me address it!"

She was eventually removed from the room, and Obama went off-script to acknowledge her concerns and even urged people to "cut her some slack."

And that was about it, which means we can move on and laugh at the obligatory auto-tuned musical version of events that someone made online. Enjoy!

Amanda Bynes appeared in court Friday, offered a classic excuse for the antics that got her arrested last night, and was released on her own recognizance.

She will be back in court in July.

What began with a disturbance call ended with Amanda Bynes arrested for marijuana possession, evidence tampering and reckless endangerment late Thursday.

The latter two offenses were allegedly committed when she tossed a bong out of her 36th-floor window ... though she claims it was "just a vase."

Seriously, she said that. As for the pot charge, that stems from her allegedly blazing up in the lobby of her building, which led a doorman to call the cops.

NBA All-Star playmaker Steve Nash is making a play to block ex-wife Alejandra from moving from Arizona to L.A. so he can avoid paying child support.

Or so she claims in their contentious court battle.

Alejandra wants to relocate from Phoenix to L.A. so the kids can be closer to their dad, who is putting on a full-court press (so to speak) to defend against that.

Nash even chose the L.A. Lakers over the N.Y. Knicks because it's closer to Arizona, but says he doesn't want them to move to L.A. at this moment.

Earlier this week, the 20-year old daughter of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love SLAMMED Jenner for Tweeting that she wished life could be easier, taking Kendall to task for not appreciating her lot in life.

A 15-year-old boy in West Point, Utah, is being held in a juvenile detention center under suspicion that he killed his two siblings, ABC 4 Utah reports.

Last night, the victims’ unidentified mother came home to find her four-year-old son dead and did not know the whereabouts of her other two sons.

Davis County sheriff deputies later discovered the woman’s ten-year-old son dead inside the home as well, apparently "from a knife like wound."

According to Sheriff Todd Richardson, a third, 15-year-old son attempted to flee from the home, only to be captured shortly after midnight by police.

The suspect was found with traces of blood on him, the AP reported.

A Bronx teacher says a major misunderstand led to her firing - and now she's during for damages as a result.

Petrona Smith, an African-American native of the West Indies and a junior high instructor at PS 211 until March 2012, has been unemployed ever since she gave her Spanish class a color lesson in which she used the word "negro."

Because "negro" is Spanish for "black."

But a student apparently misinterpreted the word as an epithet; reported Smith to her superiors; and Smith was summarily dismissed.
