Last night on The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 7 Episode 9, Teresa received some unexpected visitors at her book signing.

Of course, she had plenty else on her mind as well.

With a month of freedom left, Joe Giudice was on edge around his family, and lamenting that he “let the wrong people” influence him.

Too little, too late for that reality check, but hey.

At least Joe joked that prison would be good for his liver, though the conversation then turned serious when it came to his future sentence.

If you watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey online, it seems impossible to believe that the Giudice girls were unaware Tre was locked up.

Well, don’t tell that to Tre, who seemed genuinely surprised when Joe told her that their daughters are all dialed in to what’s going on here.

“They know where you were,” he said.

“Even Audriana knew.”

Meanwhile, Melissa Gorga was spending more and more time at her boutique, Envy, and thus less and less time at home and with the kids.

That’s a tough balancing act for a working mom.

“I need my life! I need to go do what I do for a living!” Joe Gorga whined at his wife, having been forced to take care of his own children.

After she thanked him for “manning up” to help her, he snapped, “I think I manned up 10 years ago when I put you in a beautiful home.”

“You bring in crumbs! I bring in the cake!” Joe went on as this whole discussion grew more and more heated and awkward by the minute.

“I don’t need your money. I need my wife!”

Later, Melissa listened to some sage advice from Siggy Flicker, and decided that she would try to make it up to Joe by making him happy.

Joe was beaming, as it turned out, although the tension remained, as the male Gorga admitted at dinner he wasn’t “gaga” about her working.

You know. In case that wasn’t already clear.

Finally, at Teresa’s book launch event, Kathy and Rosie were ready to make peace with Teresa and thought this would be a good place.

Or, more accurately, the producers did.

“Good news is the cops are here, so if there are any problems, it’ll get broken up,” Chris Laurita joked of the altercation that was to come.

Tre was on her best behavior, fortunately.

Melissa told Teresa how proud she was, while Joe and Joe discussed Joe’s fast-approaching jail time, the elephant in the room.

Not that you’d necessarily know about it.

“I commend him to be the way he is. He’s not sitting there crying,” Joe Gorga said of his soon to be incarcerated brother-in-law.

When Rosie and Kathy approached Teresa’s table to have their books signed, and invited her to lunch, how did she react to the olive branch?

Like a deer in headlights, basically.

“My time is precious right now since my husband is leaving soon,” she said, politely demurring but making her lack of interest obvious.

She later told Bravo’s cameras.

“My cousins never reached out to me when I was away. Sorry if I’m not dying to go out to lunch with family members who stab me in the back.”

Cold. But not inaccurate.
