Last night, Beyonce stepped on to the red carpet at the 2016 Costume Institute Gala in a very shiny, very skin-toned custom latex Givenchy gown, embellished with all sorts of sparkly nonsense.

OR SO WE THOUGHT.

The interweb immediately got to work on jovial comparisons to skin (in scientific terms, specifically, harking back to high school biology class).

Then things got real when someone suggested that the singer was wearing the skin of "Becky."

You remember Becky, don’t you?

She’s the chick "with the good hair" Beyonce referenced on her new album, Lemonade, who allegedly fooled around with Bey’s husband, Jay-Z.

We’ve wondered who the hell "Becky" could be: Rachel Roy? Rita Ora?

Both women vehemently deny any connection to the lyric, but that doesn’t matter anymore, because last night, Beyonce wore Becky’s skin.

Good God in heaven.  Those aren’t pearls, they’re Becky’s teeth!

Bey accessorized her victorious gown with over one hundred carats of light pink and nude diamonds by jeweler Lorraine Schwartz.

You know, to complement Becky’s teeth.

Inside the ball, Beyonce took a Snapchat with Ora (dress in Vera Wang), which the British singer captioned "#Family."

PS – Roy did not attend last night’s Met ball, but her reps did not specify why.
