After a period of emotional struggles that culminated in Paris Jackson’s suicide attempt in 2013, she seems to have made great strides.

By all accounts, though there have been bumps in the road along the way, she emerged on the other side as a stable, healthy young woman.

These days, Paris’ social media tributes to her famous father are focused more on his celebrated life than his tragic, premature death.

Yesterday, she decided to honor his memory in permanent fashion.

Paris posted the above photo of herself in a Los Angeles tattoo shop, along with a caption reading, "’Queen of My Heart’" in his handwriting.

"To everyone else he was the King of Pop," she explained.

"To me, well, he was the king of my heart."

Apparently, the ink was based on a handwriting sample from a note Michael wrote to Paris when she was just 6 years old.

Needless to say, it’s a touching tribute to an icon and a man who, for his many eccentricities, personal shortcomings and tumultuous life in general, was by all accounts an incredibly devoted father.

Following her recent breakup with Chetser Castellaw, there were concerns that Paris would sink into a depression.

Fortunately, it looks like this is not the case.

These days, she’s in a new relationship, openly discusses her ongoing efforts to stay sober, and celebrated her 18th birthday at Disneyland last week.

The future looks bright for Paris Jackson, in other words, and now she’ll have a reminder of her father’s love with her at all times.
