In August, the word came out that Caitlyn Jenner likely won’t be charged in the fatal car crash that killed 69-year-old Kim Howe on California’s Pacific Coast Highway.

Jenner was involved in a car accident that killed one and injured seven others in February.  Until now, it seemed that Jenner would be free of charges.

It appears that she won’t be prosecuted for vehicular manslaughter unless one final person involved in the case decides to press charges.

And that would be the D.A. herself, Jackie Lacey.

Sources connected with the Los Angeles County D.A.’s office told TMZ that the reviewers of the case have concluded that Jenner’s conduct was negligent, but not criminal.

TMZ also reported that the people assigned to the case are relying on the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s investigation.  And reportedly, the L.A. County Sheriffs agreed that Jenner’s involvement in the accident was not criminal.

The catch is that Lacey can disregard the conclusions found by the Sheriff’s office and press criminal charges herself.

However, sources say that it is highly unlikely she will do so.
