Last week, the entire Internet delighted in the sight of the now-famous "Paris Hilton plane crash prank."

The video appeared to show the formerly A-list heiress believing that she was about to die in a fiery explosion.

Obviously, that’s the stuff of YouTube gold, and reactions were split between those who found the prank hilarious, and those who felt that no one (even Paris) deserved to be the butt of such a cruel joke.

Earlier this week, Paris threatened to sue the pranksters, claiming that the stunt had traumatized her and left her with a profound fear of flying.

Now it seems that Paris is a better actress than any of us realized, as she was reportedly in on the prank from the get-go.

TMZ claims to have obtained documents that show Paris was paid big bucks (in the $1 million range) to pretend to believe she was about to die.

"We will act as if something is going wrong and ask all passengers to jump off the plane!!!" the document states. "Of course everyone will panic, we’ll be having skydivers in disguise with us on board.

"We will monitor the funny reactions from our celebrity guest when they fear jumping off the plane."

Sources claim that Paris was not the pranksters’ first choice, and several other celebs turned the offer down first.

So Paris Hilton actually has a talent and legal documents in Dubai sometimes feature triple exclamation points. We’ve learned a lot here today.

No plans on when, or if, Paris plans to execute her "Gotcha!" moment and reveal that the "plane crash" video was all BS.
