It’s been three long years since Justin Bieber dropped new studio music on fans. Three VERY long years.
But the artist has now confirmed what we’ve been hearing for so long: that’s about to change!
As told to Ryan Seacrest in a radio interview this morning, Bieber will release a new track on August 28. It will be titled "What Do You Mean?"
Does the title refer to Selena Gomez and have anything to do with their roller coaster relationship? Perhaps.
"Girls are often flip-floppy," Bieber said. "They say something and they mean something else. So … what do you mean? I don’t really know, that’s why I’m asking."
Bieber also said the single will be up tempo, describing it as "fun" and "summery."
Bieber has spent a chunk of this year hyping an upcoming album, often sharing pictures of himself inside the studio.
He hasn’t revealed many details about the types of songs that will be included on the CD, however; nor has he come out with a release date.
Whenever this next effort does become available to fans, it will be his first studio album since 2012’s "Believe," along with his first batch of new songs since the 2013 "Journals" compilation.
