Brody Jenner is opening up – and getting very candid – about The Hills and what was the most fake (and real) about the MTV reality smash.

The Sex with Brody host and son of Caitlyn Jenner chatted with Yahoo about the show and his "relationship" with its star, Lauren Conrad.

Jenner says both were pretty scripted, and fans may dislike him thanks in large part to plots that were contrived but passed off as real.

"I would say that the hardest part of it was having to live that fake reality. Not being able to say, ‘I didn’t screw every single girl on the show.’"

"’I didn’t have sex with Jen Bunney, I didn’t hook up with Audrina (Patridge),’ I didn’t hook up with any of these girls," Jenner insists.

"And then you get all these people saying, ‘Oh, he’s a male whore, he sleeps with all of these girls,’ when in actuality, I didn’t do that."

Brody was even more direct regarding Lauren Conrad, the former Laguna Beach beauty he supposedly dated … only he didn’t. At all.

He’s less broken up about that, at least: "Lauren is a dear friend of mine and it was pretty funny having to live that reality," he revealed.

"We would literally film a scene of us kissing or being in this lovey-dovey scene," Jenner adds … but it was all acting. All for show.

"And right after it would be like, ‘Cut!’ And right after it’d be like, ‘Hey, it’s good to see you,’ and then we’d go our separate ways."

The one thing that was authentic? Spencer Pratt. He was as bad as you think, though even that was contrived … by Spencer.

"The crazy thing about Spencer is that he manifested his own destiny."

"He said ‘I want to be the biggest villain in the world. I want people to hate me!’ He scripted out all those moments on The Hills."

"He created all that drama … but then it all just kind of caught up to him."
