Yesterday, People magazine named Sandra Bullock the most beautiful woman on the planet, and while their annual list always featured a Hollywood A-lister in the top spot, the editors demonstrated their commitment to celebrating women from all walks of life by visiting the sprawling Duggar compound in northwest Arkansas.

Michelle, Jessa, Joy-Anna, Jinger, a still-pregnant Jill, and even the famously selfless fan favorite Jana all sat down with People’s makeup and wardrobe teams to get "glammed up" recently, and a camera crew was on hand to capture their "transformation."

"It’s fun," says Jessa. "I mean girls like to dress up. This is fun."

"It’s definitely kind of uncommon," says Jinger. "Being all glammed-up like this."

"We usually just try to keep it really short sweet," says Jana of the Duggar gals’ usual beauty routine. Heck, if the rumors about Jana raising her siblings are true, then her taking time for herself for any reason is uncommon.

"We’re having fun together," says matriarch Michelle when asked about the best part of the experience. "We’re getting to get pampered and getting the princess treatment together.

"For me, it’s always getting to be with my children. Between my husband and my children, those are my most favorite people in the whole world that I want to spend time with."

Now, "transformed" may be a bit of an extreme way to describe the results of the J-squad’s makeovers, but there’s no denying that they all seemed to thoroughly enjoy the experience of getting glam together.

Of course, it’s not as though this is the ladies’ first experience with having their hair and makeup done by professionals. They do a have a TV show, after all.
