There was plenty to dislike at the 87th annual Academy Awards.

Neil Patrick Harris failed as host… Sean Penn made an ill-timed Green Card joke… and Joan Rivers was snubbed during the In Memoriam segment.

But at least Lady Gaga’s tribute to The Sound of Music was universally beloved by all who saw it. Well, almost everyone. Shonda Rhimes was a hater!

“That was not okay,” Rhimes, the acclaimed TV producer, Tweeted following the performance, making it clear just who she would have preferred to have seen on stage:

“I mean, Idina [Menzel] is there. She is right there. RIGHT THERE."

"And oh dear God, Julie [Andrews] had to hear that. #Oscars2015."

Andrews appeared to like what she saw, for what it’s worth.

The iconic actress gave Lady Gaga a hug following the tribute and seemed to have tears in her eyes after tribute on the 50th anniversary of The Sound of Music.

A social media follower told Rhimes, the creator of Scandal and How to Get Away With Murder, that she "missed the point" of Gaga being the one to sing it.

“I probably did miss the point," Rhimes replied.

"Everyone else loved it. That’s okay.”

As long as Rhimes keeps churning out addictive TV such as Grey’s Anatomy and the two aforementioned series, we agree: everything she says is A-OK.
