Last week, there was a rumor that Katy Perry and Taylor Swift are ready to be friends and finally out an end to their epic feud.
Now it seems that was just a bit of wishful thinking generated by Taylor and/or Katy's PR people, because sources close to Ms. Perry say that she's loving every second of the feud and has no plans to make peace.
"Taylor's tried to reach out to make amends to Katy, but Katy is not going to accept it, nor is she interested in making friends with Taylor," says one insider.
"She wants nothing to do with Taylor. In Katy's mind, Taylor shouldn't even attempt to make a friendship happen. That ship has sailed."
Considering the feud started when Taylor released the single "Bad Blood," which many interpreted as a shot at Katy, it's fitting that Perry is planning to respond in song form.
"Of course she will leave room on her album for a diss track about Taylor," says the source. "Katy loves controversy, and the feud with Taylor is great for that. She is definitely going to write a new song based on how two-faced she thinks Taylor is."
Of course, Katy already passed up a prime opportunity to stir the pot by not dissing Taylor during her Super Bowl halftime show, but a solid diss track could be even more effective.
Katy is already hitting Taylor where it hurts by dating John Mayer again, but the downside to that is...she has to date John Mayer again. War is an ugly thing.
