The Big Bang Theory Season 8 Episode 12, entitled "The Space Probe Disintegration," marked the show’s first installment of the new year. Was it a welcome return?
When the The Big Bang Theory Season 8 Episode 12 got underway, Sheldon and Leonard are, obviously, immersed in Lord of the Rings Risk.
Penny and Amy want to do something they want for a change, and try to think up good ideas of something the guys would never take them to do.
Sheldon suggests that the girls shop for clothes and that they tag along. AWESOME.
Meanwhile, Raj and Howard discuss a deep space probe, and Raj’s lack of signal.
While shopping, Sheldon and Leonard lose cell service, which is a fate worse than death if you’ve ever seen the guys sitting on chairs and waiting.
They try to entertain themselves with an invisible game to pass the time instead.
Ultimately, all the time on their hands leads to an argument over which of the longtime friends has been willing to compromise for the other more.
To forget about the space probe for a bit, Raj suggests they go to Temple.
Howard is surprised Raj is religious, and he’s nervous, but he goes with it.
At the Temple, as they sit back, relax, put their minds at ease and learn about becoming one with the world and each other, Raj’s car gets dinged.
He freaks out. Just then, Howard learns the probe is on and all is well.
As Penny and Amy try on dresses, Penny fears that she forces Amy to do things she doesn’t want to. Amy insists she is just happy to have friends.
That night, they’ll do what Amy wants – basket weaving at the craft museum!
Continuing their argument, Sheldon says Leonard is mean to him a lot, Leonard talks about moving in with Penny and both all get pretty emotional.
Penny, Leonard, Sheldon, and Amy all attend a basket-weaving class. Leonard spends the night with Penny, but Sheldon sleeps on Penny’s couch.
