Think Jennifer Lawrence is curvy and gorgeous? She’s certainly the latter, but plus size model Ashley Graham takes issue with Hollywood calling her the former.

The Oscar winner is actually tiny, says Graham, who’s posed for a host of fashion mags (including Vogue and Elle), in a recent interview with The Edit.

It’s no diss to the star, but rather those people who glorify curves that aren’t there, clarifies Ashley, who says she’s all about that bass, and J. Law ain’t it.

“Jennifer Lawrence is the media’s poster girl for curves …. she’s tiny,” Graham said.

“There needs to be more education in schools, because that’s where eating disorders start. It’s not just about being healthy; it’s also about loving who you are.”

Between modeling gigs, the MTV Made personality has made stops at schools around the country, talking to teens about the importance of body acceptance.

“It doesn’t matter if you’re a size 2 or 22,” Graham told the e-magazine.

“You can be healthy as long as you’re taking care of your body, working out, and telling yourself ‘I love you’ instead of taking in the negativity of beauty standards.”

Part of that, she says, means shifting the narrative from what the public and the media consider healthy, or curvy, or plus sized, or fat, and so forth.

Typically, she says the commonly-spoken labels don’t fit the people.

Her point s that while Jennifer Lawrence may have a nice body shape and be non-anorexic looking, there’s a difference between that and real world “curvy.”
