The Voice is down to eight singers, all of whom fought for America’s votes once again Monday night as the NBC competition enters its home stretch.

Only FIVE spots remain on tonight’s results show, so it’s crunch time.

Did any of the aspiring stars – seven-eighths of whom are male – stand out from the rest? Who left themselves vulnerable to a dreaded bottom three showing?

Let’s break down all of the performances from Monday night …

Matt McAndrew (Team Adam): Matt’s take on "The Blower’s Daughter," a gorgeous ballad Blake had not even heard before, was a terrific match for him.

Soft, yet powerful and raw at times, he nailed it.

Damien (Team Adam): He emotion he infuses into his performance of Adele’s "Something Like You" earned him a standing ovation from the judges.

Craig Wayne Boyd (Team Blake): The Eagles’ "Take It Easy" was not the most challenging, or interesting, of songs for Craig, but he did his thing well.

Luke Wade (Team Pharrell): His spin on "Holding Back the Years" by Simply Red was a bit underwhelming to the coaches. We’ll see if Voice fans concur.

Ryan Sill (Team Gwen): Unfortunately for Ryan, his spin on "Open Arms" by Journey may have showcased his limits and liabilities more than anything.

Is another trip to the bottom three nigh for him?

DaNica Shirey (Team Pharrell): The last woman standing delivered a strong performance of "These Dreams" by Heart. Will voters have a heart and keep her?

Taylor John Williams (Team Gwen): The choice of "Royals" by Lorde was a bold one, but we’re not sure it paid off. It was a unique cover, just not stirring.

Time will tell if America agrees with us there.

Chris Jamison (Team Adam): Taking on "Sexual Healing" by Marvin Gaye was not a song Adam felt he should make a departure from the classic on.

Chris heeded those words, with strong results. With his falsetto and its vintage rasp to it, he can make the ladies go crazy singing just about anything!
