Beloved former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow is joining the team at Good Morning America as a contributor, according to a report from ABC News directly.

The ESPN analyst and former University of Florida standout was a special guest host on the program this past January prior to Super Bowl XLVIII.

ABC said that Tebow will help with the show’s Motivate Me Monday series, reporting from the studio on inspirational stories from towns across the U.S.

Hard to think of a better role for Tebow, whose positive attitude, public embrace of his faith and telegenic charisma made him one of the biggest NFL draws.

That was disproportionate to his football abilities. Despite a successful 2011 season with Denver, he could not land another starting QB job in the pros.

Or even a roster spot. He has not played since 2012. But the man is going places, and it’s hard to blame GMA for trying to create a TV brand of Tebowing.

The morning show also brought on former Super Bowl champion and Live With Kelly and Michael host Michael Strahan in April as a part-time correspondent.
