Chris Rock would prefer if his children did NOT keep up with the Kardashians.

“My kids are watching reality TV now,” the comedian said this weekend at the premiere of his new movie, Top Five, at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Which shows in particular? Two that feature many poor role models.

“My kids are obsessed with Dance Moms, and also the Kardashians,” Rock said. “But I’m trying to stop them from doing too much of that.”

Rock wrote and directed his new comedy. He also stars in it as a comic named Andre Allen who is wants to remake himself into a serious actor.

But his fiancee (played by Gabrielle Union) wants to broadcast the couple’s upcoming wedding as part of a reality TV show special. Sounds like anyone else you know of in real life?

“I’m pushing them to watch less Kardashians,” Rock told Us Weekly of his kids. “Reality TV in general is just pretty nuts, and watching what these people go through…”

Yeah. There’s really no need for Rock to finish that sentence.

(Note to Chris Rock’s kids: if your dad does limit your TV time, you can always watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians online. It’s pretty easy)
