It feels like every day is a special day in the Duggar family these days. Or in this case, the Dillard household. Sunday was Jill's one-year Skypiversary!!
Yes ... the former Jill Duggar took to Instagram to commemorate the one-year anniversary of her first-ever Skype session with now-husband Derick Dillard.
Duggar, 23, commemorated the occasion by sharing a photo of herself with her spouse via Instagram. "Celebrating our 'Skypiversary,'" she captioned it.
"One year ago today my husband and I Skyped for the first time!"
Can you even handle all of this Duggar relationship bliss?
Back to Jill and Derick. It was August 2013 and Dillard, 25, was working as a missionary in Nepal when he and the TLC reality star first connected.
After being introduced by her dad Jim Bob Duggar, their relationship progressed via their long-distance chats on Skype. The rest, as they say, is history.
"When my dad first introduced Derick and I [remotely], we spent hours texting, calling, and talking on Skype while 8,000 miles away from each other," she says.
"And when we finally met in person in Nepal," recalls the swooning Mrs. Dillard, "we knew within days that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together."
The duo followed the Duggar dating rules, and the formula clearly worked. Their days of lunches at work, low-key nights, road trips and selfies could not be happier.
If they're this thrilled remembering their inaugural Skype chat, just imagine when they hit an actual wedding anniversary. Instagram may collapse due to excessive cuteness.
