The alleged video of David Lucado cheating on Britney Spears is very real, but you'll never see it, because her father Jamie Spears purchased the thing.
Spears confirmed she was available again yesterday with a brief social media declaration of her single status, ending an 18-month relationship with Lucado.
One which ended, reportedly, after a video of David dancing with and kissing a woman surfaced a few weeks ago. This report is very much accurate.
The pop star, 32, did not personally get into this on her Twitter or Instagram, but reliable sources confirm that the video is legit and it led to the split.
Word got back to Britney's father Jamie Spears that the video was being shopped around, and contracted the agency personally to secure the footage.
It's not clear who had the video or what he paid for it, but it's in his possession and according to TMZ, he paid a substantial amount for the only copy.
Jamie, who has been Britney Spears' legal conservator for over six years since her infamous meltdown, then showed his daughter what he'd purchased.
Telling Britney he had something to show her and that it was important, she looked at the video and declared the relationship with David over immediately.
Jamie Spears' rep says that as a father, he did what he had to do to protect Britney from David Lucado, and from the video going public and blindsiding her.
He also says the video will never be seen by the public, ever.
That leaves the question of whether there are other angles or copies floating around somewhere, but the rep says that Jamie will sue if any surface.
As for Britney ... she's on the market again guys!!!
