A Tim McGraw fan tried to reach out and grab the 47-year-old country megastar as he walked through the audience during his concert Sunday in Atlanta.
She was rewarded for her efforts with a literal slap in the face.
Video shows McGraw walking across the stage at Aaron’s Amphitheatre singing “Truck Yeah” as legions of McGraw fans sing and scream along with him.
Standing near the edge of the walkway, though, one fan couldn't get enough, grabbing his leg, then apparently trying to grab him and rip his pants off.
Apparently this was a little too close for Tim's comfort, as he briefly stopped singing, reached out with his left hand and slapped the woman in the face.
The clip shows her hair flying back from the slap and security guards yanking her away from McGraw, who then continued the show as if nothing happened.
Check out a better angle of the incident after the jump:
"Tim was singing out in the audience and someone firmly grabbed onto his leg and wouldn't let go as he was moving through the crowd,” the singer’s rep said.
"He instinctively swatted to try to keep them from ripping his jeans (which they succeeded at doing!), and so he could get to more fans," the rep added.
As part of his live act, Faith Hill's husband likes to work the crowd and give fans the opportunity to "slap hands with him before the end of the show."
This offer is undoubtedly exciting for audience members; it does not include any attempts to grab the singer and rip the man's clothes off, however.
Did he hit her too hard, though? She tried to full-on pull his pants off, sure, but "instinctively swatted" seems like a pretty positive spin for that.
