Star Wars: Episode VII Plot Details Revealed?!

by at .  Updated at . Comments

The release date for Star Wars: Episode VII is still almost 18 months away, but already, rumors about the plot and production seem to emerge every day.

We already know the cast of Episode VII and obsessive fans have already pieced together information about what roles each actor might be playing.

Adam Driver
Adam Driver was one of the first to be cast in the long-awaited Star Wars sequel. He's best known for his role on HBO's Girls.

Recently, photos from the set revealed that the Millennium Falcon will make an appearance, among other details, but today we might have received our biggest bonanza of leaked information to date.

A blogger named Devin Faraci claims to have uncovered a treasure trove of plot secrets (from an unnamed source, of course), and if his information is accurate we may now have a pretty good sense of how the film will begin and the sort of themes it will tackle (possible spoilers ahead):

Faraci says the film will begin with the iconic "Star Wars crawl," but instead of panning to a menacing spacecraft, we see a hand - a severed hand clutching a lightsaber.

The hand falls onto a desert planet, where it's discovered by Daisy Ridley (who's rumored to be playing Han Solo and Princess Leia's daughter).

She recognizes the saber as a Jedi relic and begins a quest to return it to its rightful owner. Along the way, she encounters Han and Chewbacca who identify the saber as Luke Skywalker's and join Ridley in her mission to find their old friend.

As usual, Internet rumors should be taken with a grain of salt, but that certainly sounds like a plausible storyline to us.

It does, however, raise two big questions: 1. Does this mean that Ridley is not playing Han's Daughter?, and 2. How we are we gonna survive the year-and-a-half wait to find out?!?!

Gone Girl Poster
