About two months ago, Michael Strahan joined Good Morning America - and it's already looking like he may want to reconsider his new gig.
Police report that 25-year-old Andre Johnson was arrested on the GMA set this morning after arguing with security. A knife was found in Johnson's possession, and he admitted that he had intended to kill Strahan.
Johnson is currently being held without bail.
Strahan has yet to issue a statement on the matter, but it has been confirmed that he never saw Johnson and was not in any threat of danger.
In addition to his appearances on GMA, Strahan co-hosts Live! With Kelly and Michael. Strahan, of course, got his start as a defensive end for the New York Giants.
Seven seasons after his retirement, Strahan still holds the NFL record for the most sacks in a single season.
So we think it's safe to say Johnson certainly had his work cut out for him when he made up his mind to attack Strahan.
If the name of the potential assailant sounds familiar, it may be because of a different Andre Johnson who recently made headlines.
However, the man arrested at the GMA set today has no ties to the rapper who cut off his penis during a bizarre suicide attempt.
Just something about that name, we guess.
